Citysearch Editorial Review.
Anchoring a strip of Silver Lake shops, this A-frame boutique carries both new and vintage styles. Around 40 percent of the merch is vintage, while the bulk of the clothing includes in-house labels 9 Greenwich Ave., Remake/Remodel, Piko 1988 and White Label. Styles include everything from vibrant, printed dresses and 80s-style pants to linen blouses and flowy tunics. Remake/Remodel falls somewhere between new and vintage, with limited-edition pieces reworked from older garments—so Orange Crush and Elton John Tees become cute tank tops. Smaller lines, such as well-priced pieces from Collective Concepts, occasionally find their way into the mix. The racks are sometimes labeled by price (“This Rack $68 and Under,” “This Rack $48 and Under” … ) and there are often bargains to find. A nice selection of vintage leather boots and pumps line the floors beneath the racks, while shelves above are stocked with vintage handbags and belts. New and old jewelry range from chunky plastic rings and wood bangles to beaded necklaces and fierce feather earrings.
