best waffles, great value, yummy spot, fresh strawberries, great little places, fresh nutella, beautiful saturday

Farmers market stand celebrates the sweetness (and savoriness) of France with crepes like L'Opera (scrambled eggs with cheese and onions) La Versailes (strawberries and sugar).
Best Crepes in Los Angeles.
I am from france and I have to admit this was great crepes and especially the Napoleon.
However they do not offer catering for crepes and I would recommend crepesofparis dot co m for quality crepes catering
BEST WAFFLES!. I read some of these reviews and they rave about their crepes. I guess I'm not a crepe fan and had some in Paris and wasn't impressed, so, I guess I'm just not. Although, this place has THE BEST WAFFLES! THE BEST WAFFLES! I haven't tasted better waffles, serious.
Another yummy spot at the Farmer's Market. I am not sure if their are other French Crepe Co. in LA. I know the one on Fairfax at the Farmer's Market. It is one of my favorite breakfast places in LA. I have never been dissapointed. The salads, soups, crepes, waffles, sandwiches....ALL DELICIOUS!!!!! Try the french onion soup! And you can get a full carafe of french press coffee. Great place!
Bad Service @ Hollywood and HIghland!. I am writing a review about the Hollywood and Highland location due to being unable to find that listing on CitySearch. I would like to share the experience I had with my girlfriend. It was a beautiful Saturday around lunch time. We walked by, it smelled great and thought it might be good so we sat down at a table. The table we grabbed was the last table before the division with the Japanese restaurant next door. After 5 mins, the table was finally cleared of cups from previous guests. We chose what we wanted and waited for the man taking orders. During the next 15 minutes, we saw people seated after us and even order before us. The man who was clearing, serving, and taking orders never looked in our direction or even checked on us. The table next to us had cleared and a new group sat down. I was beginning to wonder if we were ever going to be able to order. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt of a busy day. When a female employee came out and headed our direction, she went straight to the table with the larger group next to us and asked for their order. When this happened I decided that was enough. The party next to us even mentioned to the female order taker that we were here before they were! But we were already standing up and heading out. I told her they took too long and never paid attention to us. And will never return to that place again and will recommend to all how bad the service is. It may smell good when you walk by, just don't get that last table at Hollywood and Highland!
Crowded Farmers Market stand serves up crepes, sandwiches and waffles..
In Short
Screenwriters, tourists, grandmothers and business moguls jostle for seats at the counter or one of the rickety tables under a clapboard cabana. French flag-colored signs list menu highlights: crepes, sandwiches and Belgian waffles. Crepes come filled with a selection of sweets, meats, cheeses and fruits. Crusty ciabatta sandwiches (like roast beef with Swiss and sauteed mushrooms) are melted under a grill. Coffee is brewed to order and served in individual French presses.
Awesome crepes!. Mmmm...nutella!! I love that stuff. And French Crepe Company has it all; meat crepes, dessert crepes, nutella, fresh fruit--everything. Best crepes in SoCal!!
Best Crepes in Los Angeles. Best morning crepes, fresh, made right in front of you and absolutely delicious for a great value. My favorites are the crepe with nutella & strawberries, the crepe with ground beef and cheese melted inside and the marie antonette crepe. The french onion soup is also very tasty.
Don't expect gourmet. It's hard not to like this place, but be forewarned -- they used canned spinach and canned mushrooms in their spinach mushroom crepe. Canned spinach... blech!!! Stay away from the veggies, and you'll do okay.
Ils Essayent!. my boyfriend and i started going here for breakfast in april of 00, when we had just arrived home from london, where we had the most delicious lemon crepes at a dutch restaurant there, and we were already longing for them. so we sought out a crepe restaurant here in la. though these do not resemble the expansive, mega-thin, sparse (yet delicious) crepes in london, these suffice. i LOVE their smoked salmon crepe. the coffee's always swell. we usually dive for the counter seats, which means being waited on and no long lines (though, of course, a tip is then required). we realize it's not "très authentique" but we're also not snotty. yes, it's filipino-owned and run, but so what? it's good food if you can get over your uptightness over how "nationalistic" your meal is. (and i agree, the people-watching is prime here!)
Not that french.
As a french citizen, I can assure you that the global rating given for this little restaurant is not correct.
It is OK but does not merrit a 9.3
It tries to look and be french but there is not one single french person to serve you !!
And for the price you better get your sugar crepe at home...
It is good for a quick little treat that is all
