What People Are Saying About Mr Pizza

Featured Review

Customers waiting for takeout or tables in the low-lit dining room usually spill onto the street, especially after last call at nearby nightclubs. Pizza is served both New York-style, with a foldable thin crust, or in thick, doughy Sicilian wedges. Pies can be customized with newfangled toppings including spinach, fontina and sun-dried tomatoes, or traditional pepperoni, mushrooms and olives. Mammoth calzones, baked pastas, salads and appetizers like calamari fritti, mozzarella sticks and stuffed mushrooms round out the menu.

Editor's Tips

When to Go:
Anytime at all. The place is open (and often packed) till dawn, both for restaurant dining and delivery.
The Extras:
No delivery is too far for Mr. D's pizza crew--as long as you're willing to pay appropriately. For example, a delivery to Silver Lake adds a $10 service charge to the total.

Lost VOE jacket 6/3/11 Kid's sizeXL

by robinzodiac

We went to Mr. Pizza for dinner Friday night, June 3, 2011 at between 6p-7pm for their calzones. We sat in the 2nd booth from the enterance door.

My kid sat on both sides of the table before dinner. She left a rhinestone school jacket that read VOE, Valley of Enchantment Elementary. Please call my at 877-963-4220, ext 701 for $20 reward money for the jacket to be returned to my daughter.

WTF

by maticxbar

Absolutely horrid. I ordered at 1:20am. The pizza got here at 3:00am. I was told that the delivery fee is 12$. And since I paid the card I couldn't refuse. The driver called me and could not speak English. When he got here, he got mad at me for complaining about how long it took. He said "we're 15miles away" and I told him that the person that created the order there should not have said it would take 50min then. Pizza was some what good. But the 30$ price tag for the entire affair did not justify.

Here's some advice. Look for a different shop.

The worst place to eat pizza in LA

by natesy

Im born and raised in L.A and Ive given this place its last shot. I have never been spoken to with such rudeness on the phone when I place my orders. I recently called to order pizza they told me 30 to 45 minutes. 1 hour later I called and they said it would be another 30 minutes and they hung up on me. I called back to ask why he hung up on me and the guy hun up on me again. 5 more calls later.....same thing. I will never go here again. I suggest anyone who wants pizza to check out the other great pizza in L.A. There is better pizza and better service elsewhere.

  • Cons: TerriBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This place makes me miss NY

by LexyGirl

I have to say that I really love this place. Only three stars because they're inconsistent with service & quality-- but when they're good, they are really really good.

I made the mistake of ordering in for delivery and it took almost 2 hours. They actually did tell me that it would take awhile, but I thought there was no way it would be thaaaat long... I'll still go back though, great for a late night slice!

  • Pros: open late, and delicious!
  • Cons: delivery takes forever

Rude, incompetent staff

by zzz80

I went for late night pizza with some friends. We paid the check, tipped, left the premises and were waiting outside for a cab. The waitress then came out and claimed to have given us the wrong check and undercharged us. When we refused to pay, the owner tried to follow two of my friends home. The next day I discovered they had charged - without any authorisation from me - the extra amount to my debit card. I will never be eating here again.
