Amazing holocaust Museum!. This museum is filled with wonderful tools to learn more in depth stuff about the holocaust. Not only are there pictures and artifacts, but there are stories from holocaust survivors. I was fortunate enough to hear an amazing woman by the name of Mary speak and tell her story. It was very touching. The story opened my eyes and gave me more insight into what real holocaust survivors had to go through. The museum has fascinating architecture as well. The staff is very friendly and welcomed me with smiles. This museum is a great way to learn about the holocaust. I recommend everyone come here at least once to see what the holocaust was about and to learn new things through someone elses stories.

A Museum Every Person Should Visit. As someone who has been fascinated with the Holocaust for a very long time and has traveled to many different Holocaust museums and memorials, I was astounded to find an entirely new batch of information that I had never seen before. The museum is a very manageable size, which allows you to examine a vast amount of information quite thoroughly. Though the museum itself is not overwhelmingly large, everyone is handed a free audio guide, each of which offers you hours upon hours of information about the Holocaust as well as other relevant information about the time period. Possibly the most amazing part of this museum, however, is the opportunity to listen to a talk given by an actual Holocaust survivor. These talks apparently take place every single day and, like the parking and entry to the museum itself, they are absolutely free.

All in all, my experience at the museum was absolutely amazing. Simply walking through the rooms and looking at the pictures or listening to an audio guide is an incredibly powerful experience. In addition, everyone working at the museum was extremely friendly and helpful, and I hope to return sometime in the future.

I will definitely be recommending this museum to friends and family of all ages.

A truly exceptional experience. As soon as I entered the museum, I was greeted by a very friendly woman at the front desk. There were a few interns and security guards as well who were respectful and welcoming. It was almost as if they were a family and I was being invited to their home. You just don't find that kind of atmosphere at larger museums; it was wonderful!! As if that weren't enough, they gave me freedom to walk around the exhibits by myself. Some places just don't offer that. And most imporatntly, it was free! I couldn't believe that a tour of such a beautiful place with such important pieces of history could possibly be free. I happened to come in time to hear a guest speaker, a Holocaust survivor named Bob. His story touched me in a personal manner since I was born just after the war. They apparently have speakers in daily. These are great opportunites for everyone and should not be taken for granted.

Overall, this was the greatest museum experience I have ever had and that is saying something. I urge you to take a tour of the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. You will not be disappointed. This museum is certainly one of a kind.

A must see Museum!. I had a very unique experience as I explored the Holocaust Museum. After learning that the Musuem was founded by actual Holocaust Survivors, I knew that this museum was authentic in every aspect. The staff could not be nicer, and I felt very comfortable and welcomed in the Museum. On top of that, the Museum is FREE of charge! Being on a tight college student budget, i felt relieved. It's rediculous what other musuems charge. It was interesting exploring the different parts of the museum, as I admired artifcats and pictures. What was really nice was the free audioguide tours. Using an IPod Touch model, I was able to understand each picture and artifact better. Probably the most interesting part of the musuem, was hearing Holocaust Surviviors talk about their experiences during that time period. It was very moving but also amazing to learn how these Survivors managed to live through that horrific time.

The Musuem is also in close proximity to the Grove/Farmers Market, and the Pan Pacific Park which was very beautiful. I recommend exploring the Musuem if you ever plan on visiting Los Angeles.

An excellent museum experience in Los Angeles!. Walking in to the museum I was warmly greeted by the museum staff, who immediately made me feel welcome. Admission and audio guide tours are absolutely free, which was refreshing and nice to hear since I don't know how much I'd realistically be willing to spend as a college student to tour a Holocaust museum with so many other free resources available elsewhere. Nevertheless, I took the audio guide tour which I recommend to anyone. Through picking and choosing different events, individuals and artifacts to learn about, I toured the museum in about an hour, leaving with increased knowledge on the Holocaust as a whole and its events throughout. I particularly like the interactive touch screens located towards the back of the museum where the concentration camps are explained. It was interactive and allowed me to learn a lot in a short amount of time.

The museum's location next to Pan Pacific Park was also ideal and made for an even better experience. I was able to relax in the park after my tour and reflect on my time in the museum. The weather, especially now during the summer, was perfect, and the park wasn't crowded either. My whole afternoon was just an excellent break from what would normally be a very hectic day. I recommend the experience to everyone.
