best pizza, cold food, not lame sauce, truly amazing crust, horrible group service, always friendly service, yummy cheese
DEFINITELY best pizza I've had in LA. And I've tried all the gems...Albano's, Mulberry Street, Damiano's, North End, D'Amore's...They're all great in their own right, but none can compare to this unassuming pizza joint dwarfed by a 24-hour McDonald's. From the outside and inside, it looks as if nothing has changed since this place opened, and it's just plain awesome. I've had the pizza, salad and subs here. My recommendation would be to skip the subs, the salad was definitely competent, but the pizza is the real draw here. I'm from Boston and this place really reminds me of the little mom-and-pop pizza restaurants you find in the suburbs. Whenever anyone tries to tell me "there's no good pizza in L.A." I ask them if they've ever had Di Vita's. When they say no, I tell them they haven't been looking hard enough.
Consistently the BEST..... Seriously the BEST Crust ever! Service is always friendly & you can't beat the price. Wine by the glass = $4 (I was skeptical at first if I would even want to finish the glass, but it was really good). Great little neighborhood spot!!
The Best Pizza in LA. Before Divita's, I really didn't care about pizza one way or the other. Now, I can eat it 3 times a week and never get sick of it. I give Divita's two very enthusiastic thumbs up and fully recommend it!
Horrible group service. Okay...so the food is pretty good but the service is horrible.!! I ordered for my office and it took them a total of 3 hours before the order got to us. And I can see there restaurant out of my office window. Everyone that I spoke to in order to process my order was rude and made me feel like I was a complete inconvenience. Then when I called back to speak to the manager she said, and I quote, "I'm 57 years old and I just had a brain tumor removed...I shouldn't even be here." They should have been upfront about the time and there inability to fill that big of an order. When the order did arrive we were missing one. The food was cold too! Then I would have gone somewhere else. So perhaps a more personal setting would give you better service, but don't ever place an office order.
Best Pizza Ever. The Di Vita's Special at Di Vita's is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Very casual atmosphere. I've never been at night, but during the day you can always get a table. One server. One or two people in the kitchen. Very casual. But definitely my favorite pizza of all time.
Real Pizza. Best pizza on the west side. The crust is amazing, sauce isn't lame, and the cheese is yummy.
GREAT Pizza. Di Vita's truly has some of the best pizza I have ever eaten, even in comparison with some of LA's best pizzarias. The crust is truly amazing, not to mention great sauce and toppings. I've never had anything but an excellent pizza here. Highly Recommended.
