great overated food, great customer service, favorite restaurant, great romatic place, best good meal, really great dining experience, very overrated spago

Wolfgang Puck's legendary industry spot gets a makeover that both offers a throwback to classic L.A. (tuna popsicles anyone?) and a modern Asian-influenced menu.
Wolfgang Puck's signature restaurant is often alluded to slightingly, as if its patronage by Hollywood players in the 80s and 90s somehow discredited it. In fact it's superb, up-to-date, and continues to help define the way chefs have learned to foreground great ingredients without giving up great technique.
A Los Angeles institution. This place is a must-visit for any Angeleno. The food is always interesting and Sherry Yard always delivers on the pastries--simply amazing.

The "Rock Pebble Chocolate" dessert is one of Wolfgang Puck's favorites, and we can see why. In addition to the chocolate torte base, there's almond cream, warm truffles and cool bon bons.
an instituion ... for a reason. i've had two very memorable special occasion meals here. both times i ordered the tasting menu, so i can only speak to that experience. both times were excellent. once was with a friend and we each did the wine pairing. they were very generous on the pours. perhaps a bit too much so. sat on the very lovely patio. the second time was with my mom, who is a bit more picky of an eater. i was a litltle surprised that after they asked about food preferences, they didn't really honor them. in one case, they brought her the foie anyway, even tho she doesn't eat it. in another, they simply didn't bring her a dish that course. i would have thought they could have substituted something, even a simple vegetable. that brought them down one notch in my mind, but i still say if you are open to all food and wine, it's a great meal. especially if wolf is making the rounds.
Great Dining Experience. Spago is one of the best Restaurants in LA. The food is fabulous, the service terrific and the atmosphere very enviting.
Any way you slice it...... Wolfgang Puck is still at the top of his game. The original has closed but this sister space is just as fantastic. The dining room offers a different ambiance with the French patio doors open to an amazing view of a tree. The food is always the same....Stellar! When you combine his love for food and fresh ingredients the recipe is magic. Follow his motto "Live, Love, Eat"! and you cannot go wrong.
Bigger and (maybe) Better.
As much as I feel nostalgic for the frenzied, over-crowded original Spago, this newer location allows you to breath while eating your fiddlehead fern pizza. The food remains among the very best in LA -- pure, pristine ingredients, impeccable seasoninig, and artful presentation. It's as if Wolfgang Puck has a corner on every good tomato and fresh basil around.
I go there whenever possible.
Stop whining about small portions!. If you want huge portions go to your friendly neighborhood Cheesecake Factory or the likes. I'll admit that Spago has gone downhill a slight bit over the years. And that might be the result of being compared to so many other great new restaurants that pop up every month. But i think it still has great food and atmosphere.
Celebs galore. After all these years, Spago Beverly Hills is still a top spot for celeb spotting. Food and ambience are still excellent, too.
Great food and better service.. Spago knows how to serve a great meal. The food is top quality and the service is impeccable. The meal was served with great timing and Wolfgang actually checked on how things were going during the dinner. It was good to see that owners still care for making sure service is number one. Check this place out for a really great dining experience.
