The Chateau Marmont has made a smooth transition from old Hollywood glamour to new Hollywood style. The lobby is one of Hollywood's best kept secrets and one of the coolest places to drink. Usually only open to hotel guests, you can call ahead and make reservations. Word of advice: keep your cool if you see your favorite Hollywood starlet learning her lines at the table next to you.

A Los Angeles institution where celeb-seeing is guaranteed. On top of its glitzy-glamour image, the rooms are beautifully decorated, as is the pool out back.

The famous and notorious Sunset Boulevard Hotel. This is probably the number one place for star spotting, if you can get in.

Troubled Porsche-crashing starlets might be banned from this glorious grand dame's grounds, but you aren't, so I'd highly recommend staying here. The hilly Sunset Blvd perch, the luxe decor, the lush foliage and occasionally star-studded sun patio...it's just SO Hollywood. Plus you're only a Louboutin's wobble away from Bar Marmont.
