the first and still best tofu house in l.a.. so kong dong was one of the earliest to set up shop in ktown with tofu stew, and after having tried all the newer places, i still come here because it's the BEST! so savory, tasty, hearty - no other tofu restaurant comes close in my opinion. forget bcd, beverly - the room may not be beautiful to look at, but you'll forget that when the steaming hot pots come rolling out. perfection!

best soon tofu in LA. i have tried almost every soon tofu place in LA. this is by far the best korean tofu soup place. tofu is fresh and extremely flavorful. don't let the non-descript ambiance fool you, food is excellent. service is also very fast. there is also a parking lot behind the building if the front parking lot is full.

Best Soondobu in LA. The best soondobu place in L.A., better than BCD or Beverly...Their soondobu is richer than most others, and the panchans (side dishes, free with every meal), of which there many, are great - especially the raw crab (you might have to ask for it). The service is quick, the setting is minimal, and the food is cheap...If you are adventurous, try the gopchang (beef intestine) - its better than it sounds...
