Terribly disappointed. I can only assume ownership has changed changed since these other reviews were written. The place is nice inside, but the food did not match.

If your looking bad take-out restaurant quality Chinese at downtown Burbank prices . . . this is the place for you.

I'll leave it at that.

The Most Amazing Orange Chicken On the Planet. Nobody knows Chinese food like Gourmet 88. When the weekend hits, little compares to a day of shopping on the Burbank strip, a movie with a friend topped with dinner and drinks at Gourmet 88. The Orange Chicken is Unreal, the Pepper Steak is AMAZING and the Citrus Scallops are to die for. Not only is the food the best thing in Burbank but the prices and service you will receive makes Gourmet 88 a dream come true.

Best New Chinese Restaurant. Best service and delicious food. I ordered the pineapple chicken and my boyfriend ordered the spicy eggplant with a giant bowl of hot and sour soup. Everything was amazing. We live in Glendale and usually commute to Brentwood for Chinese. This new restaurant is in our neighborhood and it is the best.

Great Food, Great Service. This restaurant brings you closer to China with its traditional dishes. I'm a vegetarian and they have a lot of selection for vegetarians. I, personally, liked the Bean Curd Soup, the Graised String Beans and found that the Vegetable Egg Roll is to die for. Meat-eaters have even complimented the Vegetarian Egg Roll as well as the good array of vegetarian dishes that this restaurant offers. They have great customer service, catering to your every whim when desired. I found that great food mixed with great service is a recipe for a superb and highly recommended restaurant.

BEST PLACE TO HAVE DINNER WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST HAD A BIRTHDAY DINNER PARTY WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE SERVICE HAD IMPROVE ALOT EVER SINCE I WAS THERE HALF A YEAR AGO. I WILL DEFENITLY GO BACK THERE TO HAVE DINNER OR ANY OF MY CELEBRATIONS........YUMMMMMMM THE HOT AND SOUR SOUP AND THE ORANGE CHICKEN IS REALLY REALLY GOOD, THE BEST I EVER HAD..

Best chinese food. If you like chinese food this is the place, i loved the orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and the cheft special beef, last but not least the Mai Tai drink! the best i ever had..

The Best Orange Chicken. The best orange chicken I've ever had. There is no comparison to other places for this dish. This is the place to be for Chinese Food.

User review by xsite. Waitstaff was quick, friendly, attentive and informative. The food arrived quickly and steaming hot. The orange chicken was the best I've had. The string beans were cooked perfectly, and so was the asparagus. The sizzling rice soup was really, really good. I highly recommend this joint. You get a lot of bang for a little buck.
