Killer Shrimp is leaving the Marina :(. Just dined there last night, and learned that after 20 years the best shrimp place in the area will be closing. I can recall many late night drives to Killer Shrimp for the shrimp and pasta! Get there before the last day and have a bowl of the shrimp and pasta! The chocolate cake is also excellent.

Bye, Killer Shrimp - you will be missed!!

Killer Shrimp has Killer Shrimp. I love this place. I have been a customer since 1990. I have visited all locations and everything is consistant. The food and the service is great. Too bad this location is closed, but the Marina Del Rey branch (The original location) is still around. Happy shrimping.

Closed Studio City Location. Today, my date and I just attempted to go on an afternoon date here at Killer Shrimp. He hadn't been to this location within a year... He has been to the other location in West Los Angeles within the last 6 months! But he assured me that both locations have killer food! Unfortunately, he arrived there (traffic was horrible today, so he beat me), the sign was down and the placed was closed. :( Too bad, I heard good things about this restaurant.... I guess I will have to go to West LA for some Killer Shrimp.

Gotta love Killer Shrimp. I LOVE Killer Shrimp! The menu is simple, but the food is excellent! I love dipping the bread in the spicy broth. The service is nothing extraordinary but I really like the atmosphere. This restaurant in definitely in my top five.

if you haven't tried it - you definitely must try it!. I like Killer Shrimp - although I must admit my girlfriends are a little more gung-ho than I am. But definitely try it if you like spicy and unique. Get the original in-shall shrimp. Lots and lots of lemon will be needed too. I think the shrimp are kind of bland - but the broth is yummy. Have some wine - great for a girls dinner. Don't forget the chocolate cake........mmmmmmm

Cozy Little Shrimp Eatery. I got to start off by saying I love this place since the first time I went there. The short menu of Shrimp in a soupy dish. The spices and flavoring is great to dip the bread in. The ambiance of the place a bit on the dark side but I dont mind because it is quite cozy with friendly service added each and every time Ive dined there. There is always parking.

Shrimp, Shrimp, and Shrimp. The place has a limited menu because it only serves shrimp. But that is their forte. The broth is very, very tasty, and having it with a side of rice or bread can warm the belly. If you don't want to get messy pay the $2.00 to have the shrimp pealed. The Cesar Salad was was excellent. I can't wait to go back and try the shrimp with rice. The server said to order the rice on the side.

how is this place still open?. all i can say about this place is, WHAT A DUMP. the walls of this place are painted dark and the lighting is equally so, probably so you won't see what your food looks like. and the food, you ask? a big bowl of spicy shrimp drowned and swimming in OIL. if you consider greasy shrimp a good meal, you've found your haven. personally, picking the shells off of oily shrimp and eating them is not my idea of a good meal. DISGUSTING is the best adjective i can find for this place.

Killer Shrimp Kills The Appetite. Looking forward to a fabulous seafood dinner, dont attempt to find it at this restaurant. Ambiance was less than favorable as was the rude service. The waitresses would rather run behind the bar where there were not any customers to serve than to answer any questions one has regarding the menu. I was trying to find out about the spice intensity of the food. The waitress was very snappy and walked away in the middle of the conversation. Negative food marks would include stale bread, veins in your shrimp in the shrimp cocktail as well as in the Original Bread Bowl dish. If you dont mind those veins, then you wont mind the ones in the shrimp pasta dish which are only half removed. They are certainly diligent though in taking your bill and wishing you a good night.

YUM!. I LOOOOVE the bread and shrimp item. It is a slightly spicy, soupy "stew" that you eat with dipping the bread. It is sooo delicious and it is definitely enough for two adults to share. Another time I tried the shrimp and pasta which was not as impressive. I will never get that again. The only damper is the ambience. Its dim, but not really in a romantic kind of way and its kind of a mood killer. I would probably go there more often if it werent for the ambience.
