Okay place. Nice staff. Nice place.

My boyfriend loves the food, especially the pad thai. I'm okay with it. Really like the spicy seafood salad and some f the curries. Some dishes, like the crab curry, are to avoid.

We go often because cheap, nearby and convenient.

Horrible delivery service, extremely rude staff. I had been a customer here for some time but my last delivery experience was enough to make me never want to go back. I was told delivery would be 15 minutes (I am located just a few miles away in Playa del Rey) and it took an hour and twenty minutes. As it turns out, they sent the delivery guy to the wrong address in the wrong neighborhood. This is after a seven minute conversation with the order taker telling her my address...I must have spelled the street name about ten times, and repeated that it is PLAYA not Marina del Rey about ten times as well. They still got it wrong. The food was cold when it arrived and when I complained the woman on the phone asked if I "had a microwave." The manager refused to cooperate and give us any portion of it for free (in my opinion given the fiasco, it should have all been free). When I called back to talk to the manager he put me on hold for a very long time and then hung up. I am usually very reasonable with service expectation, but the staff at this place is extremely rude and horrible. I will never order from here again.

Insisted that we eat their hair.. My lady and I had already visited this place a quite a few times and were beginning to enjoy some consistency when we had a visit that was rude and disgusting.

We ordered our usual favorites and waited patiently for our food. Once the food had been placed in front of us, the server disappeared. Upon first glance we both saw a very large hair sticking out of the top of my lady's food, completely stirred up in the sauce. Without ever touching the food, we called for the waitress and she came to the table and wondered what we needed.

We politely showed her that there as a hair in the main course and she became enraged! She spoke in a rude, loud, and angry voice saying, "so, what do wan't me to do about it?!" We said we thought that she should take the food back from the table.

In a fit of rage she took the plate and stormed to the kitchen. Shortly thereafter we were re-served what appeared to be the same exact plate of food. We had no way to verify what was done in the back, but with how angry she became we just could not get ourselves to eat from that plate. (did she expectorate in it?)

We shared my plate of food, left the bad one, paid for both (because she bullied me into be afraid of her) and we left once and for all. We we never, ever go there again and we will never again suggest that anybody go to East Wind.

Disgusting.

There are a lot of Thai places full of very careful, conscientious, polite, and gracious servers. There is no need to patronize a place that seemed to insinuate that we had placed a hair in the food or at best became angry with us that we dared complain about just one big hair intertwined in our noodles.

Be careful of what you say; Angry Employees.

I should add that this all happened on a calm, non-busy afternoon and that there was no provoking.

Loved it for years...now not so sure.... My husband and I have been going here as one of our favorite little "hole in the wall" places for a few years. We enjoy some of the entres and the friendly atmosphere. Of course, prices must go up with food prices inflating, and I know the price of rice is up with some shortages, but recently they doubled the price of the sides of rice. I feel the rice should come with the $9 to $13 dinner entres. The portions are adequate, but not large, so they could include a cup of rice.

When I was charged $2.50 for my brown rice, I just thought that was too much. We like the food, although they use a lot of salt and are heavy on the onions and green peppers in some dishes. We have learned how to order and have always enjoyed eating in this sometimes VERY quiet little spot. I realize their rent/lease must be high, but the entres and wine prices havine gone up, some by 30%, was one thing.... and now the RICE, so that will make us think TWICE!

Great and Affordable Thai!!!. The food and service is awesome and you can't beat the prices. Not fancy to say the least; but the food makes up for it.

good thai. my favoirte thai delivery in the area -- not as good as Pam's Place, but probably 5 times faster. Good curries, and also good dine-in experience.

Great local thai food that delivers!. Wonderful food and fast delivery will not disappoint. Every dish I have ordered has been delish and not cooked w MSG. The restaurant itself is a lil hole in the wall, very unassuming, but stil charming in its own way. Venetians are lucky to live within the delivery radius!

Bad Phone Call from Manager or Owner of East Wind Thai Food. I called to place an order. The owner calls back to tell me he will not deliver to me because I canceled an order a long time ago.Which I did 5 minutes after I ordered it due to a family emergency. He was rude and irate. There are other better places to go to.

Over the years we probably ordered over 20 times and for one cancellation 5 minutes after we hung up he has now lost a customer as well as the tenants in the bldg I live in as we will tell our friends here not to order from them.

There are other Thai places in the Marina that are fare better and better courtesy to their loyal customers!

My Favorite Thai Place. It doesn't have candles floating in water, nor does it have white table clothes or chanting in the background, but I love East Wind. I have been going there for 5 years and have never been disappointed with there service nor food. It is cheap and the wait staff is fantastic.

I recommend the green curry and the pineapple curry or the bamboo dish. Lunch time meals are $5-$6.

BEST THAI FOOD WITH AMBIENCE!!. THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE FOR THAI FOOD FOR MORE THAN 6 YEARS. EAST WIND HAS SMALL PARKING LOT, SO I PREFER TO ORDER DELIVERY. BUT LAST WEEK I GO THERE WITH A GROUP OF FRIEND AFTER WORK, IT WAS RE-DECORATED, SO AMBIENCE. WE ALL LOVE IT. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS CHICKEN AND BEEF SATAY IS SOOO GOOD, ALSO TOMKHA KAI AND PADTHAI. THE WAITRESS RECOMMEND SEAFOOD COMBINATION FOR MY FRIEND WHO LOVE SPICY, AND HE FALL IN LOVE WITH THAT.

CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK
