Do people dress up 80s style on Friday nights?. Does anyone actually dress up 80s inspired? I will be going there tonight & I don't want to look like a clown if I do dress up... If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate that.

A great place to listen to records and squint at the beautiful people.. In Short
Dimly lit, with plush banquettes and low couches, the atmosphere provides an elegant space for folks whose tiny apartments aren't suitable for entertaining. There are two rooms, one of which blares good, retro rock music spun by DJs, while the other is more suitable for quiet canoodling. Occasional live bands and record release parties populate the club's social calendar.
This is the ultimate low-key Hollywood hipster bar.

THE THREE ROCKS. they installed the elevated dance floor in the middle of the old dance room. thats still a pain in the a$$. but other than that the place is back in full swing after a dry spell. fun place for single girls and guys looking to drink and dance. period.

Best Bar in LA. With a great mix of music and two rooms - one to dance in, and one to relax in - you can't miss with this totally rockin' bar. A refreshing combination of hip and unpretentious, the crowd is eclectic and intriguing (you can meet anyone from a physics grad student to a tattoo artist on any given night), the drinks are strong and reasonably priced, and a couple of the bartenders are totally hot. No cover, and almost never a line - but by about midnight, it's always a packed place and a good, good time. Only downside is the super-seedy neighborhood, so always try to arrive and leave with a buddy...

great little place.... i started going to this great place a few years ago because it was quiet and smoking was allowed...though both have ceased to exist the place still remains a place to hang out with some friends....definitely if you have no plans for the night and just want to kick back with no desire for the trendy scene then invite some friends and have a great time just chillin....the place does get extremely busy after 11 but if you get there around 10 you should definitely get a booth...

GREAT DANCING. Had the best time dancing (the wife can still shake her moneymaker). Pretty decent dance floor and the DJ was playing music that you could actually dance to (none of that techno bs). Laid back crowd, although a few seemed to have over indulged in something other than alcohol.

Hollywood's little secret. away from the tourist on hollywood blvd it's one of the better bars out there. Mostly singles looking to hook up and the guy to girl ratio is fairly even. Bartenders are great they hook you with stiff drinks and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy fridays which is 80's night.

great lounge. On a week night, this is a great lounge to come hang out at and have a drink. They have cushy booths where you can sit down and relax while chatting w/ your friends. They also have music that starts at 11pm on the dance floor, in case you are so inclined to bust a move. The wednesday night i went, they had drum&bass beating through the crowd.

Picking up as an art form. Three Clubs on a Saturday Night is not the place to go for a quick drink or a game of pool. It's definitely not the place to go if you are dating someone and are planning to remain monogamous. On Saturday nights the back room is open, and there's a DJ or a band blasting away with people roam trying to find companionship for a night. (There's a conveniently located hotel right next door.) A fun place if you're either with a large group of people looking for action or a single person looking for action.
