Pasadena >Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill
great fish taco, good fresh mexican grill, usually order baja chicken chopped salad, fairly decent prices, pretty decent mexican food
The flavors of the Baja have a home north of the border with this fast-food fish-taco restaurant..
After years of traveling to Baja California and enjoying fish tacos at beachside stands, Ralph Rubio opened his first restaurant in San Diego in 1983, banking on the south-of-the-border favorite. Today, Rubio's are located throughout the Southwest serving tacos, burritos salads and more. Baja-style fish tacos are the specialty--beer-battered Alaskan Pollack, cabbage and salsa in a soft corn tortilla. Street tacos (carnitas, carne asada, chicken), quesadillas, nachos and taquitos are other popular options.
Couldn' tell you about the food . . .. Our server got on the phone before taking our order and never got off (what's really sad was that his name tag stated he was the manager. We ended up walking out. I'm hesitant venturing to another Rubios after that happened.
