Surrounded by island artifacts and Bob Marley photos, this casual-clad crowd sips on calypso punch and island fruit smoothies while R&B music plays in this laid-back atmosphere. Yellow roses are stuffed in Jamaican Red Stripe beer bottles, makeshift palm trees are wrapped in lights and an island garden lines its windows, giving this restaurant a tropical vibe. Derrick's has great food and a wonderful atmosphere. It's a really nice restaurant. I love that there are tablecloths, and the service is first rate. You can have anything you want, prepared anyway you like. And it Jamaican.

This is a nice Jamaican restaurant. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. I love that they prepare their vegetables without too much fat. Mustard greens sauteed and oooh so good. They have an appetizer of battered zuchinni and shrimp that is to die for. Their jerk chicken is okay...hot..not so smooth. The jerk drummetes have a better flavor.

I had a good experience with Derrick. I heard about it from some friends and I went at lunch and the plate of Ox tails was great. The atmosphere was quiet and not full but I contribute that to people calling orders in. The prices are not bad and they give you plenty of food.
