In Short – With over 250 gaming tables, this privately owned space is one of the world's largest card clubs. Located about 10 miles southeast of Downtown Los Angeles, the ivory-colored, glitter-trimmed, torch-flanked facade is hard to miss--you can see it from the 5 freeway. Inside, hungry card players wait for a seat to open up in the sea of poker tables. A high-stakes deck area murmurs with the drone of TVs displaying stock information and various sporting events. Find blackjack, Caribbean stud, bacarrat and the usual Asian card games in the expansive back area. The finishing touch is…

No Longer What It Used to Be

I used to come here three or four times a month, but quit once it stopped being fun. This went from a halfway decent poker room to one of the most poorly managed poker rooms ever. Here's why:
-They discontinued the free meals at the upstairs tables (every three hours they used to bring a snack).
-They raised the rake on the tables from $3 to $4.
-They changed the jackpot rules in the casino's favor.
-When a seat opens at the table, it takes them forever to fill it despite a huge line of people waiting. The floor people could care less.
-The sign-up desk is poorly staffed and disorganized, especially on weekend evenings when the place is packed.
-Problem players are never dealt with appropriately and are allowed to misbehave. I've had player at my table have a lengthy discussion with their observer friends about a hand in progress in another language. I've seen players physically threaten other players. I've seen players sneak chips off the table. People talk on cell-phones, openly discuss hands, miscall their hand at the showdown to entice other people to fold. The floor men and dealers don't like confrontation, so they let it happen.
-Dealers rush the hands, are surly, and make the game unpleasant.
-No rewards card. No comps. No recognition from floormen when you are a longtime (3-year plus) regular.
-Even drink service stinks. I've ordered beers only to never see the cocktail waitress return (and beers cost upwards of $4 too).
AND OMIGOD THE ALL OF THE BATHROOMS ON EVERY LEVEL SMELL LIKE URINE. DISGUSTING!
The parking is the worst I've ever seen. SUV's taking up two spaces with no enforcement.
I went to Vegas and played at the Mirage (same rake), Planet Hollywood (lower rake), and other casinos on the strip and it was miles away a better experience with comp drinks, comp meals, friendly dealers, attentive floormen, and strict adherence to the rules.
You have been warned.
- Pros: The deli on the main floor makes a good pastrami sandwich.
- Cons: Parking is a disaster. Surly dealers. Shady players. No loyalty rewards or comps.

Good Food, entertainment, and high rollers at the card tables. I definitely recommend this place for something to do on weedends, if you really wanna spend some money.
