CAN'T SEW STRAIGHT!!!!
Why do we get.
CAN'T SEW STRAIGHT!!!!
Why do we get things tailored or altered? It's because we are detail-oriented. If a sleeve is half an inch too long, we want it to look and fit right!
I brought in a brand-new Ralph Lauren blazer to get the sleeves shortened. The shortening part was performed adequately. The buttons that had to be sewn back on, however, looked like they were done by a 12 year old. Originally, there were four buttons, she only put back three. When I asked about this, she said she would put on the fourth buttons. However, she was unable to sew the buttons on in a straight line. I tried to explain that I want the buttons in a straight row, she muttered about not doing that.
The woman is extremely lazy. She tries to get by with the least amount of labor possible. If you're a person who wants things done right, DON'T come here. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED.
Terrible service, sloppy work!. I have never been treated so rudely at a tailor than the Asian woman who runs this shop. I've been here twice for simple hems on jeans. First time she was not only rude but my jeans looked like they were hemmed by a 12 year old. The fact that I gave this woman a second chance is my fault. She ruined a pair of $250 Diesels and then refused to even acknowledge that she hemmed them shorter than the receipt shows. Even worse, she refused to fix them without being paid again. I was absolutely stunned that she would treat a new customer this way. AVOID!
great alterations!.
I got both my wedding dress AND reception dress altered here. These aren't cheapie dresses either - my wedding dress is a Monique Lhuillier and my reception dress is a Claire Pettibone. Together, both these dresses are worth over $7000. I would only entrust them to the best, and that's Amy. She worked with me (even when I was being overy picky, I admit) until I got it just right.
Even when I think a piece is irreprable, she gets creative and finds a way to fix it.
I've lived in Eagle Rock my whole life, and have never gotten alterations done anywhere other than this shop. There's no need to!
Not Recommended. Asked for eye and hook, and she did a hook w/ just a thread hook. Then told me that you couldn't do a hook on that garment. That was untrue b/c a hook was there previously, but simply fell off. Asked for a stitch that you could not see on the other side of the fabric, and she did a stitch that you could see, which ruined the garment. I pointed it out to her, and her response was to take it out all together and hand the garment back to me. Of course, there were still visible holes from where the garment was stiched through. It was worse off then before.
