Editorial Review for Rolf's French Bavarian Brasserie – by Rebecca Braverman

In Short
Rolf's is one of the city's most festive German eateries, particularly during the holiday season, when the dining room is decorated to the nines. Surrounded by stained glass windows and black-and-white portraits, regulars indulge in upscale German comfort food like crispy potato pancakes with applesauce, wiener schnitzel and grilled sausages with sauerkraut, accompanied by a long list of imported beers.

My office recently transferred to the Gramercy Park area and held a luncheon here the other day. What a great find in knowing that we will make this our future "hangout" for after work social life. Loved the atmosphere which they change with the seasons. They are now decorated with colorful Autumn leaves which started their Oktoberfest. Can't wait to see their Christmas decorations which I understand are over the top. The food is very good. It's what you would consider comfort food especially on a cool Autum evening.

Have been coming here for years and must say the food is always consistent. A very romantic spot. In fact my wife and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary so it has great sentimental value.
