No longer a fan of anna's. Sad to say it, but I am no longer a fan of Anna’s. I’ve spend thousands of dollars at multiple Anna’s linens locations decorating my entire home, sure the quality of the items sold at Anna’s linens isn’t too great but you get what you pay for at those rock bottom prices. I must say I’ve shopped at the Cerritos location many times; I came in at least once a week to buy necessities for my home and majority of those times I had a wonderful experience. Although one time when I tried to return a couple items I had received from a house warming I had recently and I was treated with the utmost disrespect from an associate by the name of Yvone, I was appalled because I did not see this coming. She refused to take the items because I did not have a receipt, even after I explained that they were gifts from a house warming I recently had, and I asked If could simply just get an exchange or store credit which I’ve received from other stores when I returned items without a receipt, but no she did not let me get that either. In addition she had the nerve to accuse me of making up the story and call me racial stereotypes because of my African-American Identity, (I overheard her speaking to the other associate working with her out loud; her name was Lucie I believe who was laughing about it, also adding her own opinion on to the accusations and joking about the racial slurs. HELLO I’m still in the store, least you could do was wait until I left). I was furious, I asked for their store manager’s contact information because I wanted management to know exactly what kind of workers they had working in their store. What had me more surprised was that she claimed to be the manager, ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You have a complete moron managing the store if she is who she claims to be! Also I overheard both of the women gossiping about plans to figure out a way to “get rid” of a male associate who is working at this location, I guess the management team is working together to abolish all male associates from this Anna Linen’s location because from all the times I’ve came to this location, I’m pretty sure there’s only one male working here, and he’s helped me many times while I shopped helping me find the right panels and bedding for my home. He’s an outstanding customer service worker if you ask me, and getting rid of him would seem completely wrong. The people you should be getting rid of are these 2 idiotic workers who give Anna’s Linens a bad name, not an innocent employee. I have speculated that they are trying to get rid of him 1: Because he is a male, and 2: because he is an Asian-American, seems that this store has mainly women of Hispanic identity working here. I will be informing him of what they have said If I am to run into him again in the future, and I will be giving him proper options of how to approach this situation because YES this is a serious matter of racial discrimination and harassment in the workplace, which could lead to a serious lawsuit against Anna’s Linen’s Inc. and I believe it is his right to receive justice for the harassment he may be receiving from the management team here. To his advantage I am a Lawyer who specializes in these situations and little that the management team knew, I had recorded on my iPhone their conversation which can be used as hard evidence. GOOD RIDDANCE Mr. Alan Gladstone you will not be receiving another penny from me!
