warm masa, wonderful dish, best mexican dishes, bad service, great opportunity, not horrible carne asada burrito, perfect lunch spot

Best huaraches in town, plus a wet burrito that won't quit. Try the adobada taco and huitlacoche quesadilla. Great prices, great salsa bar.
On York in HP, this place makes some of the best huaraches around. Rolled mass dough that's been grilled and them fried is the perfect accompaniment to their meats, like the al pastor or cabeza. And don't miss their Shia frescas--they're delicious, too!

Fave spot for Huaraches in L.A. and for $2.50 how can you say no? Pair with an agua fresca and adobada taco.
More Bang for Ur Buck. Great, homemade food. Portions are generous and cheap in price. Makes a perfect lunch spot. Menu is limited to "Huaraches," "Tortas," "Burritos," and "Steak" dishes. Relaxing atmosphere and small-size seating capacity, contributing to a home-like feeling. A promising restaurant for the future. Great opportunity for entrepenuers. Grade: A
Huaraches. My boyfriend and I are a bit obsessed with Huaraches. The carne asada Huarache con todo (with everything, crema, Mexican cheese, onions and cilantro) has got to be one of the best Mexican dishes I have ever eaten. The masa is warm and crispy and the meat is cooked to perfection. I don't suggest venturing away from the huaraches, the carne asada burrito was horrible. Not enough room in the place, and the door doesn't close, so bundle up on a cold day. Overall a fantastic find that you will be craving forever.
Fantastic Food Great Price in Highland Park. There are tons of Mexican food in Highland Park but this little place across from the Super A Market is fantasic the Costillos which is a pork stewed dish is wonderful. Very resonably priced. Lots of food for the money. There's always people there waiting which I think is a good sign that local people are going there. The bad is service can be alittle slow and for such a busy place they need to expand not enough tables. No atmosphere.
