Celeb pastry chef Duff Goldman, of Charm City Cakes in Baltimore (featured on the Food Network's Ace of Cakes program), has opened a fun, DIY cake decorating space on Melrose, at the southwest corner of -- are you ready for this? -- Sweetzer Ave. Walk in, pick up a blank cupcake, 6-inch or 9-inch cake, choose your cake flavor(chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, carrot, etc.) plop it down on what looks like a lickable version of a ceramics wheel, and go crazy. Pick from a bunch of different frosting flavors and toppings. Bring the youngins… and a bib.
