OMG Don't Go There!!!!!. OMG- This is THE WORST restaurant in LA. The food-terrible, service- OMG terrible, we returned ALL of our main courses (there were 4 of us and each one got something different) and they've charged us for everything!! I'll never go back threre in my life! Oh, and by the way if you have a dog, smell it's ears before you leave to the restaurant, because the duckling dish- smells the same!!!

The place to be if you have time before your flight.. I have been here many times. It is a perfect place to meet someone who has a layover or to have a good-bye cocktail before your friend departs. The valet is right out front and they are quick in taking your car. The food is pretty good, for airport food (the tuna tartar is my personal favorite). The interiors are a bit loud; reminds me of the Jetson's. The wine is so-so, but if you are a beer drinker, the taps make this really swanky sound during the pour! This is the one elevator that I can enjoy the music...just try it.

LAX's trippy airborne bar and restaurant adds to the sense that this city is another planet.. In Short
Managed and revamped by Disney's Imagineers into a Jetsons-style fantasy, the futuristic experience begins the minute the doors open into the funky purple-and-chrome elevator. Patrons are transported upward into the saucer-shaped bar and restaurant. Huge lava lamps and amoeba-shaped banquettes are set against a 360-degree view of airport runways and beyond.The menu includes staples like fried calamari, tuna tartare and pepper-crusted New York steak. At the long bar, bartenders dispense Coke through ray guns that make nutty sounds.

Best Cobb Salad, amazing view, great if you have a layover at LAX. This restaurant was such a fantastic surprise! It's very convenient if you want to grab lunch while you wait for your flight. I had the Cobb Salad and it was amazing! Awesome presentation and it tasted delicious. The bar is very cool and perfect for people watching because it's set in the center of the restaurant with a view of the entire city. I would definitely go here again-especially for the atmoshpere! Easy parking, too-Valet!

really bad. OK, to be clear, the food and the extremely expensive drinks were not horrible, although Rich's dinner was way oversalted, a complaint you don't hear from him often! Our beef and pork entrees were competently prepared, but many items were skimpy and/or did not deliver what the menu promised. For example, Chris' "compote" consisted of 8 small bits of something or other, and our calimari starter had no hint of ginger flavor anywhere.

The biggest problem here was the service, which was literally the worst we've had in a long time. Just completely incompetent, and we had to ask repeatedly for EVERYTHING (including water and bread). They weren't that busy.

Chris liked the atmosphere OK, but considering the prices and the service, we would not recommend this establishment.

A must try.... Sure it's in the middle of the airport but what a cool view you get. Feel the nostolgia of the lava lamps and the cool trendy effects. The elevator ride itself begins the immersion into the whole experience.

Fabulous decor, terrible food. Decor is fabulous. Food is terrible and extremely overpriced. Go for sure if you have a layover, but just get a drink, and get McDonalds for dinner.

Not only convenient, but enjoyable.. This is a great restaurant to go to if you've got a late flight at LAX and want to grab dinner beforehand. Really cool atmosphere inside with a great view of the airport lights at night. I thought they were going for a Star Trek motif but was happy to see once inside that they were just going the ultra modern, ultra plush route. The food is a bit expensive but actually good, with a nice variety to choose from. Beats Burger King at the airport any day.

Great for meeting friends for drinks. A very cool place to hang out after the midnight crowd has left for home. This is when the party really begins.
