A little More Authentic then fresh mex
by attackrabbit
Its small , quick, and very affordable. I got my food to go, one grande chicken burritio which is nothing to scoff at , and a shredded beef enchilada on the side. I thought the chile meat sauce on the enchilada was great, the cheese was not overly processed and even the shredded beef was flavorful and lean. I suppose i like more of the "fresh mex" style food as i used to work for chev'ys, but my main problem with a lot of the burritos i've had in the area is the soupiness. This burrito was not soupy it stayed together for the whole meal, in fact in turned into two meals, this burrito is huge. I thought the ingredients were fresh , the guac was not stringy or overally stuffed with pico de gallo. MY one thing was they didnt have any type of nacho on their menu, although the meal did come with tortilla chips which were not all that great.
- Pros: Massive, Solid, Hearty, Burritos
- Cons: No nacho, small place
Decent little fresh-Mex place

Just around the corner from the Loyola Marymount campus sits little Viva Fresh--a quaint little joint with an open-air patio and a few TVs tuned to sports or Spanish language television. A mural is painted across the side to add a little exotica to the small white building.
The service is always snappy and, due to the nature of the food, it doesn't take too long to get your order.
The menu reads like most at a little neighborhood Mexican place, but the concentration here is on fresh-Mex not authentic Mexican. Burritos are filling for fresh-Mex, without the rice filler you find at other places. Entrees come with tortilla chips and customers are able to take a trip to the salsa bar--which means you can grab a little more salsa to dip your burrito in later (if you're into that sort of thing). It isn't spectacular, but it's a good solid meal that won't leave you feeling too heavy.
- Pros: cheap, good fresh-Mex; a parking lot that's plenty big for such a small restaurant
- Cons: it's fresh-Mex (if you're an authentic Mexican fan this might be a bad thing)
