My arguably biased review
by yaaarg
After spending the last three years at LMU, I can safely say I made the right decision. Located on a bluff overlooking Los Angeles that tends to remain blissfully smog free, it is definitely the most beautiful campus in L.A.
Beautiful campus aside, LMU stands up academically with strong programs in varying fields like film production and accounting. The film program, once a definite second fiddle to USC and UCLA, now commands increasing respect in the industry.
Like any school, however, it has it's weaknesses in some departments and classes. But overall, my experience has been an enriching and challenging one.
The tuition, however, is not something to be put off, it's quite an expensive school to go to. But if you can take the price tag (or have scholarships that can), it's a great place to go.
- Pros: the food (at first, anyway), classes
- Cons: high tuition, campus growth limited by location, the food (it gets a little old)
An underrated school

I go to USC and not LMU, but having a slew of friends at the latter, I have to say that it's a pretty underappreciated school. Yes, the academics might not be able to hold their own against USC and UCLA, but it's no Cal State L.A. The campus is beautifully located in the Westchester hills overlooking much of L.A. (a uniquely smogless view most of the time) and it has lots of nice modern touches (which is a nice change from the Ivy and red brick of USC).
