Charred burger! oooooh yeah baby.
Charred- need i say more!! Just tried it and loved it. The cashier was funny and gave me some dating advice when he heard my friend i complaining about the overload of rich men in LA who think looks only matter on women. Men get a clue- if you expect us to look good so should you!

Good if you order the Kingburger.
People raved about this place to me for the longest time. I thought it was an overpriced, paler version of Fuddruckers.
I never really dug the burgers here until someone suggested ordering the kingburger (1/2 pounder) "on the char". That means they char grill it instead of frying it on a griddle. The combination of the chargrilled half pounder with a slice of cheese and fried egg (yes, an egg) is absolutely sublime. I usually cajole the cook to make the burger as "close the medium rare as they can get away with". The result is a burger that is barely pink, but at least isn't completely dried out and tasteless.

Cheaper than Hamburger Hamlet, tastier than McDonald's--Fatburger might just be the superhero of fast food..
The Scene
This is a fast-food joint all the way: Order at the counter and employees, sans headphones, bark the order to the fry cooks. Retro jukeboxes usually hold court in the middle of the restaurants, but are rarely used, since jazz and R&B are always piped in through speakers.
The Food
Sure, there's the grilled chicken sandwich and the chili dog, but other than that, it's all burgers. Wrapped in paper, served on plastic trays and dripping with toppings--mustard, mayo, relish, tomatoes, lettuce and onion--these burgers are definitely fat. Add cheese, bacon and a fried egg and you've got a hefty, cholesterol-laden treat. Or go the healthy route and order the turkey burger with everything; it's almost as good as the red-meat variety, and just as messy. Skip the ordinary fries and order a side of the fresh onion rings--the grease factor is low, and the crispy, golden batter is delicious.

Best Turkey Burger in Los Angeles.
Don't know why but the SM blvd./WeHo location has the BEST turkey burger around! The whole weat bun, the relish and fresh and perfectly-seasoned turkey patty is my favorite. This location has the friendliest staff and the best jukebox also. Open late and always good, FatBurger rules.
