I have taken my animals to Dr Jordan for many years- three cats, three dogs. I followed the immunization, food, and advice given during that time.My animals lived long and full lives. I find Dr. Jordan to be kind and an understanding caregiver. His prices are competitive and he and his staff are more then generous with their time taken with your pets. I have had nothing but appropriate and wonderful attention paid to my animals.
My beloved seventeen year old cat was diagnosed with cancer last year. Dr. Jordan sent me to a specialist to determine what procedures should be followed to cure/care for her. The specialist explained that there was nothing they could do - she was too old and the cancer had progressed too far. Then they sent her and some medication home with me - she honestly appeared to be at death's door. I told Dr. Jordan that the experience with the specialist clinic was one of the reasons I keep going back to Melrose Animal Hospital. The other clinic did nothing wrong, but Dr. Jordon would NEVER have sent my cat home in her condition. He would have kept her under his care until he determined whether or not the medication was working and if I would be able to care for her effectively. She died in my arms a few months later, but Dr. Jordan was always there when I needed him and I'll never take my cats to any other vet.
I've been going to the Melrose Animal Hospital for about 30 years. I think Dr. Jordan and his staff are wonderful and kind and so caring. He not only tends to my cats but also shows real concern for me. His reception area is clean and freshly painted and I've been in the back, where animals are kept, and it is also clean .
I have been bringing my oldest dog, Sydney a basenji mix, since i rescued her at 6 weeks. She is now 4 years old. Dr. Jordan and his staff have been nothing but helpful and caring. Our newest addition, Rocco a 9 month old Rottweiler, was having digestion issues. Dr. Jordan was extremely helpful in finding the cause of these issues and did everything I asked of him to make sure I satisfied the insurance requests for reimbursement.
"Two weeks ago, my 14 year old daschund suffered a massive stroke.
I went to Dr. Jordan in a panic. It was the worst day of my life. I had to put her to sleep.
I was in tears and broken emotionally. He walked me through this terrible period with grace and love. Dr. Edd Jordan is one of the nicest veterinarians I have ever met or used.
Again- I just wanted to thank him for being such a FANTASTIC DOCTOR, AND A 5 STAR HUMAN BEING. I called him the next day to thank him. I appreciate his extreme help, would recommend him to everyone I know."
"I had a great experience when I went to see Dr. Jordan and staff. I recently got a sick kitty from the animal shelter and he really took good care of her. Things that are important to me in finding a vet:
1. competent doctor
2. friendly staff
3. ease of getting an appointment."
Excellent doctor who is certified in many states. He is a fountain of information and extremely helpful! Definitely recommended.
Dr. Jordan really took the time to listen to all the symptoms and changes my sick cat was going through, not like some vets who seem to think they know your pet's problem before you can tell them anything. He was very nice, and really kept me informed about how my cat was doing throughout his hospitalization, and was easily accessible and helpful when I had questions. Recommended.
What I like about Dr. Jordan is his old school approach to veterinary care. Recently, my puppy had some spots on his skin. Another vet initially checked him out, did a skin scrape but found nothing. Sent us home...well, we wanted a second opinion. Dr. Jordan's knowledge was phenomenal. He immediately suggested what needs to be done. We took him up on his recommendations and we saw the results within a short time. And he's absolutely wonderful with us and our dog. Highly recommended
Although it can be a bit pricey- I'm getting the best care... And, for my puppy- I wouldn't settle for anything less. You can tell, even meeting him for the first time, that he loves animals... And will take great care of your pet... As he does mine. Highly recommended.
