view & uploadnice clothing, very interesting place, real nice lay, helpful salespeople, cool store, love fred segal, friendly sales staff
nice friendly staff/ big selection. I love this store, from the outside the building is covered in vines, and you walk in to a staff that greets you and a nice big selection of clothes. Its a bit pricey, but your getting quality items. the staff is ready to help you find something or try something on and the lay out of the store is real nice and simple and easy to get through.
More accessible than you'd think... I'm a slightly larger than average girl on an average budget, and I've had good experiences shopping at Ron Herman and Fred Segal. I'd always assumed their sales staff would be snobby and unhelpful, but they were very sweet and gave me good advice. I'd definitely shop there again. =)
Local legend lives up to its status with dreamy togs by designers like Missoni, Rebecca Taylor, Generra and Cindy Lee..
In Short
This is perhaps La La Land's most famous store, haunted by celebrities, stylists and civilians alike. From the iconic red, white and blue bags to the loud pop music to the ever-present crowds, this shop is a fashionista's mecca for of-the-moment pieces. Supple Chris and Mike leather jackets hang next to party-perfect Cindy Lee frocks, plaid Deborah Sweeney shorts and blousy Generra sundresses. It's truly a can't-miss for fashion fanatics.
Feel cool knowing a celeb bought what I bought !. I love shopping at Fred Segal. The service cant be horrid, but I dont care as I dont need them to shop and choose what I like anyway. Great cool funky jewelry and acccessories....especially the jewels ...and not mall jewery store, QVC ,made in china, gold garbage that 100,000 people already have. When I was there last I bought a necklace by designer Teri Bienvenue ...Whoopie Goldberg was there and bought the same necklace, but mine was with different stones and charms. She was so cool and mellow and told me I have great taste. We also got the same pair of Jenna Dell socks...Whoopie then jokingly said "Now you're scaring me" . It was so cool. The accessories and funky little purses and cool belts are my true weakness, especially the inez jibara collection...I've not seen her stuff any where else so maybe she's a cool local "homegrown" designer that Fred Segal especially loves. Anyway when in the LA area, and love clothes, just go to Fred Segal. The sales help is pretty worthless until you check out...but thats okay... the stuff you leave with is soooooo incredible. I'm in LA twice a year, Fred Segal is always a definite stop.
LOVE IT!. If you got the cash, flaunt it! hehe I love this place. I'd say 30 percent of my wardrobe hails from here!
shop ronherman!. i had positive experiences at the store but if you haven't shop ronherman(dot)com to avoid long lines and snooty workers and get the cutest stuff! they dont allow urls sorry for the (dot)
not impressed. I have visited Fred Segal several times in the last few years and each time I go in hoping to leave at least not angry. Each time I am disappointed. The sales people are condecending and not at all helpful, the managers are even worse, the clothing is beyond overpriced and mostly inapporopriate if you are past high-school aged. When I asked if I could return a bottle of perfume that I had recieved as a gift I was told, "No, because I said so." The only positive experience I had was visiting the beauty supply shop where at least a few of the sales people seemed happy to help me.
I must've had my cloaking device on.. Excited about going to Fred Segal! But wasn't too impressed. Nice duds I guess...but I couldn't get anyone to help me. In fact, I'm pretty sure there were no sales people in the store. Maybe next time, I'll walk out the door with an armful of clothes to see if anyone notices. I like not being pressured by sales people, but a hello would have been nice.
nice clothing, if you don't mind the attitude. fred segal is really hyped up as this amazing shopping experience, but there's not much to it. lots of different designers at premium prices, and attitude to boot. the sales people are all singing along to the music that's blasting in the speakers and acting like they're too busy to actually do their job.the kids' section is cute, albeit WAY over-priced. the beauty product section has a few nice companies and fragrances that aren't available everywhere. the little restaurant isn't bad for lunch, that is if the staff isn't giving you attitude while you're PAYING.
Not my favorite spot!. I don't know how many times I've been there and noone acknowleges that you are there unless you are a celebrity or a friend. I literally stood at the counter for about 9 minutes before one of the three employees noticed me.I was going to leave but I thought I would humor myself to see just how long it would take.
