good italian food, impeccable service, helpful staff, helpful foodfestive restaurant, very affordable prices, memorable dining experience, excellent pizzas

A favorite for folks in the neighborhood, Marco's also has a large gay fan base. They are known for their pastas, but also draw brunch crowds.
pleasure. I had the pleasure of feasting with the owner at this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We sampled a variety of dishes of which none were disappointing.
I love the omelettes and I LOVE the $12 bottomless Mimosas!. Not only do I love Marco's for the delicious brunch with amazing omelettes. . .the fact that they now do bottomlesss Mimosas everyday is great! I also have to say the service and management is very friendly too. I highly suggest Marco's for brunch or even a nice Italian dinner too!
A True LA Experience!. It's hard to even describe our experience at Marco's! It was our last day in LA from NYC and my boyfriend picked Marco's for breakfast before we headed out to the airport - one thing we could never figure out while in LA was how to really see the Hollywood sign (from the best view, not any view). As NYers, we don't do touristy gimmicks. After breakfast which we both loved (please get the coconut and banana french toast) we chatted up George, the manager, and Marco himself. We told them how much we loved the food and everything about the place and asked about the best driving route to see the sign. The next thing you know - Marco himself drove with us to explore the "hills" and to see the sign from a view little known to anyone but those who have lived in LA for decades. We were in awe and amazement. This stuff doesn't happen anymore and we are so honored to know Marco and to celebrate his restaurant. We are coming back this summer!
Delicious food & 'the bomb' appetizers!.
I've been going to Marco's for 10 years now and they had been excellent as far as everything you would expect in a restaurant atmosphere. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is awesome (not to mention: Happy Hours are the best to go there with your friends), and the food is just scrumptious!
Go now and they will make your day or evening!
Great Resaurat. Great Experience..
As I walked in a friendly smile was waiting for me to be seated. Got some yummy bread, got some super yummy food, and ended with a super tasteful dessert!
I have nothing but complements about marcos. Great place to dine! and best of all, it created a lasting experience! I definitely recommend.
I gave it a try and I'm ready to come back again.
Cool place & delicious Italian cuisines.
I came to Marco's a while ago for breakfast and had "Marco's Breakfast." It comes with a great amount of food. I am very impressive the way they presented the food. They just make the breakfast look a little fancy, but the price is still decent. btw, I especially like the bacon and sausage.
A few days ago, I came to this place again with my friends. We got some pizza to share and other entrees. I like the Pizza Mamma. The pizza is full of small pieces of chicken with cheese and tomatoes on the top. Moreover, the pesto gives more flavor to the whole pizza and makes it taste less greasy.
I also got Melanzane Alla Parmigiana for myself. It is fried eggplant layered with tomatoes sauce. I got this because I LOVE eggplant. However, I was worried that it might be a little greasy and too salty, but it turned out pretty good. I think this dish look like lasagne, but it just replaces pasta with eggplant and brings out different flavors and textures. Also, the presentation of food is good.
I also like the simple space design which makes the whole space warm and neat. The service is good as well. The atmosphere is also very comfortable to chat with friends. The only problem is parking because it is located in West Hollywood. I was lucky to get a free spot on the street, but a friend of mine took a while to find one.
a waste of real estate.
really? went here with a friend who wanted to surprise me. hmmmm ive been before a year ago. it was bad then. now its just plain terrible
seriously good reviews from citysearch? i suppose people think that olive garden is italian food?
horrible food. just plebian and overpriced and under qualiy
Great Italian, Non-Pretentious, Affordable, Their Own Parking..
I've been going to Marco's for some 15 years now, beginning when it was run by Marco's mother. She would seat us as if we were guests in her home. Although "Mama Marco" (as we always call her) is no longer with us, I still feel her presence every time we enter the restaurant. Water, foccacia and menus all show up almost as soon as we're seated. "May I get you a beverage?" is one of the first things we hear. No "my-name-is-Steevan- and-I'll-be-your-waiter", but instead a more-personal "how are you this evening?"
From the fresh foccacia with tomatoes, then to minestrone soup and Caesar salad, and then the main course (hmm...what tonight? Lasagna? Pizza? Ravioli, spaghetti, chicken piccata?) Everything I've ordered is delicious, which makes it hard to decide. I often choose lasagna bolognese - I love lasagna but it's really time-consuming to make at home, and this is probably better than mine anyway... Their portion is so generous that i often take half home and have it for lunch the next day. My boyfriend loves their meat ravioli in bolognese sauce, always asking our waiter for "extra, extra" sauce.
Last night it was pizza - medium crust, "Mama's Special". Really delicious, very filling. After soup and salad, we couldn't finish it and took half home - which we reheated and devoured for a midnight snack.
Everything - bread, tomato sauce, iced tea, tiramisu - tastes freshly-made. That's why I could eat here a couple of times a week and not tire of it.
L.A. may be a food 'scene', but Marco's isn't part of any 'scene'. Good food, made from scratch, with a warm staff. It's like eating in my grandmother's home, but without the guilt.
YOUR SEARCH HAS ENDED!. Looked at countless reviews to find good pizza last night, then stumbled on this place. I'm sure glad I did! Had a 100% great experience. Great people - Great food - Fair Prices.
A stripmall surprise, this neighborhood eatery is also an aged Italian gem, serving pizza and pasta along the bustling boulevard..
In Short
Started by Franca "Mama" Capanni and her son Marco in 1993, this charming, homestyle Italian joint serves time-tested dishes with authentic recipes straight from the boot-shaped country. While its weathered green awnings and worn-out signage may unintentionally turn away new customers, the warm and welcoming waitstaff manage to step things up. Servers are attentive, slipping sizzling pizzas, topped with everything from chicken and shrimp to mushrooms and eggplant, onto shimmery glass tabletops. Other house specialties include the gooey, mozzarella-topped meatloaf and their hearty--and famous--helping of spaghetti and meatballs.
