best white pizza, delicious slice, polite staff, just as wonderful service, love other specialty pizzas, best piza, nice everyone
THE BEST PIZZA!. I'm from the east coast and have lived in NYC, and this pizza def gives NY a run for the money. It's perfectly thin, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I's not that type of pizza that's covered in cheese. It's SO good. The best I've had in Los Angeles, and I've been here for quite a while. A MUST for pizza lovers! On top of that, the service is very friendly.
Good Pizza; Tough to Find Parking.
Cheap. And good.
But the parking situation not ideal.
I ordered a slice of mushrooms.
I don't think I'll be coming back here unless I'm walking down Melrose. Place seems hard to access with a car.
Hangover Food.
Brought this home as a hopeful antidote to a abnormally lingering hangover at 7PM on a Friday night...(after a big Thursday).
Large pizza and chicken parm sandwich - (not all for me). I think it worked for its purpose. Best pizza eater's pizza on the melrose strip. Not the best in LA or in the history of the world but if you're on melrose and want pizza, go there before you go to Goodfella's who I ordered once by accident thinking it was Albano's. (Goodfella's: rubbery, oily, bland, expensive ...like airplane pizza if they even served that. Albano's = like NYC)
Bad Delivery. It took almost 2 hours to get our pizza delivered and we live less then a mile from the place AND the pizza arrived COLD.
AWWWWWESOME AWESOME SOPOOOT!!!!!!.
BEST SPOT EVER!!!! everything is good! AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!!enjoy
ENJOY!

It's actually not out of business!.
Dissapointed that my favorite pizza joint had shut down, I visited their Valley location on Ventura (just as good, a little bigger and easier to park). It turns out that a dispute with the landlord temporarily shut down the Melrose location. They will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Don't fret, pizza lovers! Albano's is back!
I highly recommend the spinach and ricotta slice- once the spinach scare is over.
Albano's Melrose out of business???. No note on the door, phone number disconnected. A shame, because it was some of the best piza around.
Great pizza. We order it at our salon, Blue Velvet.. We love the white pizza and other specialty pizzas. Their pasta, sauce and desert bread is really great. The portions are very generous, and they always have homemade cakes on the counter. The staff is polite, and the owners are very friendly.
yummy. top quality new york style pizza in a casual albeit low-budget setting. if a soda and a slice are all you're after, you'll be thrilled with the quality of the food and the low prices - just don't expect mom's lasagna and a bottle of chianti. this is no frills, excellent, new york style pizza.
You want NY pizza, go no further. I am from NYC/NJ and have been in LA for only two years. despite many advertisements of NY pizza at other pizzerias, there is only one place in this town that does it right. Albano's is as good as any neighborhood pizzeria back home. The sauce is just right and the crust has some good subtle flavor to it. The cheese is good _Mozzarella. They have a good balance to it all making you realize they are really from NY and learned how to make pizza there.
