good massage, big front desk staff, very attentive service, amazing whole experience, nice facilities, big halls, great hair products

Great day spa tucked in a shopping mall off the Sunset Strip. The locker rooms and facilities are plenty big. In particular, the hot tubs are relaxing. Two hours free parking with validation.
While definitely not the most affordable place to get a facial in Los Angeles, definitely one of the most luxurious. Their spa amenities alone justify the extra dollars spent.
Really Nice Place but....
It's really hard to get a reservation in a reasonable time. You have to call days and days ahead of time and sometimes the hold is forever.
The spa is very relaxing, but getting crowded. The women's sauna could definitely be bigger and a little more privacy while changing would be nice.
I Would Definitely Come Back Again..... This day spa is so nice. The service is impeccable and they are very attentive to you and your needs...whether its for gift cards or full service appointment.
Overrated. If you're looking to get pampered with things like jacuzzi, steam room, quiet room..etc this is the place...if you're just looking for a great massage go elsewhere!!!
correct! It's the McDonalds of Spa's, which is a GREAT business model, however, as a former employee I can say they do NOT treat their therapists well.
It's a great place to work right out of school which is 99% of their therapists, needless not say NOT a great massage.
As per your experience.
That said, check out www.wellnessalchemist dot com
sessions in a humble yet healing studio in Palms a far superior therapist at 1/2 the cost. :)
If you want an average massage don't go here... their not even capable of average! Better off at a $40 asian spa!. Ive gone here 4 times just hoping that the next time would be better than the other but it just keeps getting worse. Ive had one therapist complain about the pay and the point system that BW has, another one who was sick (hence the sniffling and coughing through the massage), one that kept hitting my spine during a deep tissue massage and another that shouldn't be massaging in the first place! This place is a mess! Would never go back!
Absolutely correct! It's a perfect place for a therapist to work right out of school, sadly enough for the clientele...

I go to olympic spa myself (Korean) and it's awesome, the massage well, it depends on what you're looking for but I don't like being treated like a piece of meat!
Great Service, First Class. Sent my Mother there for her birthday, she had the full day spa treatment and made her feel great. Lots of little extras that made it nice.
BW, is the BEST!!!!. Love, love, love Burke Williams!!! Wish they had one in New York... it' affordable, clean and feels like a vacation every time I go. When in need of some down time and want to enter decompressing-land- look no further than BW!
Over-rated - think the CPK of spa services. I know there are a lot of fans of Burke Williams out there, and after hearing about it for years I was excited when a gift card came my way. So tonight I tried the Hollywood location. It's big, it's clean and the front desk staff are impeccably polite which is refreshing. However, as nice as everyone is there, the atmosphere was weirdly impersonal. The halls are big & institutional; the lounge area is very doctor's waiting room and crowded. The Pure Relaxation massage I received was maybe a B, though the hot towels were great; but the therapist while saying all the right things wasn't really present & I didn't feel any of the pampering or personal connection I feel when I go to smaller LA day spas. And the location in a mostly deserted shopping center was similarly hollow. When another gift card comes my way I won't give it away, but I'll try a different location and maybe go for a facial instead of a massage.
If all you care about is a fantastic masage and not looking for a "spa" experience

not a spa but a humble healing space in Palms... if a quality session matters :)
Fantastic Spa Experience. I have been to the Burke Williams in Sherman Oaks and I thought it was okay. Last week I went to Bruke Williams West Hollywood after a horrible experience at Spa Luce in Hollywood. I was surprised at the facility. It's huge and I love the real fire in the waiting room! Jordan gave me a massage and 80 minutes flew by. He was polite. I love the locker facility with the many different spas. Very nice. I want to take my girlfriends for a spa day. My only complaint was how busy it was. Good for them but bad for me. I will be going back.
Amazing Experience!. I went to BW in Hollywood for the first time on Wed night and had a fabulous facial! She was so nice and answered all of my questions, it was the best facial I have ever had. I love the organic products. I will go back and ask for Rochelle again. The facility was very peaceful and smelled wonderful.
MY first experience of BW. I had always heard about BW, but recently had my first visit at the West Hollywood location, located inside the Virgin building on Sunset. It's been a hectic week, so I arrived feeling wired, tense and knotted up. Don't we all?? I had a deluxe relaxation massage by "Tiffany". She was wonderful! She really knew how to give a good massage, with the right pressure and intensity. She really took care of me before and after the treatment. I felt quite sleepy and really relaxed when she was done. I'd definitely go back to her. Highly recommended!
