Editorial Review for P.F. Chang's China Bistro – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.

P.F. Changs at the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills is always a good place to go when you're out at the mall or otherwise can't think of what you're in the mood for. Everything is a tad on the sweet side, which is probably why this place is always so popular. This particular location seems to be a bit on the romantic side somehow, even for being at the mall. I'd recommend a stop-in if you're nearby and looking for something reliable.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Parking is a pain

P = phake, F = Fake, Changs = chinese food. Not sure which China they're talking about but this isn't food from China (the country). It's the Chinese equivalent of The Olive Garden. Terrible. If this were the SAT it would look something like this: Chinese food is to P.F. Changs as Italian Food is to: a) Vito's on La Cienega b) Frankie's on Melrose c) The Olive Garden (any Olive Garden) d) Carmine's on Santa Monica. I'm like that kid from The Sixth Sense...when I go for Chinese food I wanna be able to say "I see Chinese people".
