Editorial Review for Noodle Stories – by Laura Randall

In Short
The decor of this boutique is polished and subtle, just like the clothes. Owner Caryl Kim has clearly put a lot of thought and care into the easy arrangement of the stock in the large open-floor room. Quality and simplicity are the central themes here, from the Cashmere Studio sweaters and Cosabella underwear to the Luisa Cevese bags. Other lines include Y's by Yohji Yamamoto, Margiela 4 and 6 and Malo.

Noodle Stories has the best and most unusual collections of any store I've been to in a long time! Everything is carefully considered for the customer. They have all the bigs...Margiela, Junya, Yohji but they buy it better than at Barneys. They also have some really obscure smaller designers, mostly European that I've never seen before...ever! The shoes are amazing...the best Margiela selection and, again, some Italian labels I've never heard of. A very nice, knowledgeable staff. They caught the vibe of what I like and made great suggestions but without making me feel that weird pressure to buy. I can't wait to go back!!!

Very nice clothing and nicely displayed. Good selection of Margiela and other high end indie designers.. However, it is really irritating how they follow you around in this store. The store has a strange vibe..a little creepy. Go in and tell me I'm wrong and it's all in my head. Again, weird vibe and very QUIET. No usual chatter or friendly exchanges and I'm very friendly. I was going to buy a couple of things but got the creeps and left.

Pros: Nice things but keep it quiet

Cons: You'll be fine if you put tape over your mouth
