Best Desserts!. I've been going to Maison Richard for years and I've never been disappointed by the quality of their cakes and pastries, always fresh and made with the finest ingredients.

I liked their location on Robertson Blvd and now that they've moved their cafe on Melrose it is not as convenient as it used to be for me, but I am still going there to buy all my birthday cakes. Their fruit tarts, napoleons, eclairs, strawberry fontenels, chocolate mousses are my favorite desserts. In december their chocolate christmas logs are to die for!

They also have a a large covered patio with plenty of seating, perfect for sunday's brunch or coffee and pastries in the afternoon.

Delicious French Pastries. Michel Richard has a great selection of delicious and savory french pastries, fruit tarts, croissants, brioches, pains aux raisins, brioches, apple turnovers...

It's a great place to go to for breakfast and lunch (salads, quiches, omelets, pasta...). I also like to go there to meet my friends on their quiet outdoor patio and enjoy coffee and pastries in the afternoon with them!

I usually order my birthday and holiday cakes there; the strawberry fontenel I ordered for my son's 6th birthday was a huge hit among kids and adults.

I also ordered several times from them some miniatures hors d'oeuvres (mini quiches, mini pizzas, salmon feuilletes...) and surprise breads.

I've never been disappointed by the service and their products. Their pastries and dishes are always made with top quality ingredients, fresh and super tasty.

I went there for breakfast.

I had a gift certificate.

The owner told me that i can not use the certificate..

I tried to explain that it has no expiration date an that I was there a few month before and one of the guys there told me it NEVER expires!!!

She started yelling at me and she GRABBED the paper from my hand and PUSHED me!!!!!!!

NEVER GO THERE!!!!

Always a great place. Always friendly service and good food. (The management needs to tell people to keep their kids from running amok and getting in the way of the waiters and bothering other patrons.)

I like it. If you like sweets and a nice place to have a cup of coffee, this is a nice place. Coffee is good, staff is nice. I take my breaks here, a bit expensive but worth the price. I tried the food here, it is good, but a bit expensive for what they serve. I recommend it.

Great desserts!. I have been searching for a cute cafe with great desserts for years now, and when I went to Michael Richard, I knew I found it! Try the Strawberry cheesecake, it is absolutely amazing. It's not your New York style thick cheesecake, but rather it's almost like a rare mousse cheesecake. The Tarts are also to die for. Especially the pear tart: with the flaky crust, melts in your mouth. The pasteries are great as well. The meals are good, but not excellent, excpet for the pouched egg salmon salad, which is also amazing. A great place to stop by with the girls for tea and cake! Park across the street (a block away) in the structure, since there's no parking around the cafe.

Best fruit tart in LA!. I used to work a bloack away from Michel Richard and while it isn't my favorite place to have a ful meal, their fruit tarts, especially the rasberry, are unbelievable. Instead of gushy custard the fruit is layers on top of an almond cake base that is out of this world! The tarts come in all sizes from small individual ones to large ones for pick for parties. Not only are they georgeous to look at, but they taste amazing!
