fresh food, love breakfast, delicious turkey burger, tasty eggs, amazing staff, big fan, best servers
Favorite breakfast spot. I am a big fan of this tiny little cafe/diner. I work right up the street and order from here several times a week, either breakfast or lunch. I love breakfast and am picky about eggs, particularly omelets; Ed's always makes mine just right. They have a delicious turkey burger too. I've never had anything here that I didn't like. I like it so much that I even drive across town on an occasional Saturday to have breakfast or lunch here. The staff is amazing! The place has been open since the 40's, I believe, and there's a sweet little lady that you see in some of the black & white photos on the walls that still walks around to check on everyone. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I really love this place.
Homey WeHo coffee shop draws all kinds--society wives, gym rats and Design Center decorators..
In Short
The tiny eatery's retro black-and-white linoleum floor is usually lined with locals hungry for hearty breakfast and lunch specials. On the morning menu of eggs, pancakes and meats, the feta, bacon and tomato omelette stands out. Lunch offerings include twists on the usual sandwiches, like bacon-and-blue cheese burgers and egg salad, Swiss and tomato on toast. Snackers opt for the spinach quesadilla, with melted jack cheese, fresh spinach and mild guacamole.
Best Breakfast Ever. Ed's is a small coffee shop where they always treat you like part of the family. The breakfast is consistantly fantastic. The service is great as well, the servers will bend over backward to make sure you're happy. Who knew eggs could be so tasty!
Cute and OK. This little shoebox of a diner is both cute and good. Ivy & Danny are the best servers and can't do enough for you. The menu is handwritten daily and run through a Xerox for your pleasure. The owner could try to listen to her customers wishes a little more. The food is fresh and plated attractively. The meatloaf and salisbury steak have a little too much hamburger helper added, but still tastes pretty good. All in all not a bad place to go.
