fresh oyster sushi, good better food, good customer service, poor unattentive service, mediocre ok sushi, good atmosphere, creative japanese dishes
Sushi Roku's chefs prepare innovative small dishes out of succulent, sliced hunks of raw fish. The scallop dynamite is tender and sweet--one of the best in town--and the rich black cod is a perfect counterbalance to the more delicate sashimi dishes. Try any sashimi appetizer, such as salmon or bonito, with tangy garlic ponzu sauce and jalapeno tempura. There are also daily sushi specials that usually include rarer and more expensive Japanese imports such as ishi-tai (black tail snapper), sayori (half beak) and kohada (gizzard shad). …

Sushi Roku is a very romantic Japanese restaurant, one that I highly recommend for a date. Be sure to roll over for the rolls before 7pm (during the week), to catch their amazingly priced Happy Hour menu.

Trendy Japanese lounge near the Beverly Center makes for a happening date spot that still has great sushi and cooked fish items.
Can't go wrong with old stand by. Sushi Roku is an old stand by. If I am in beverly hills or santa monica and craving some yellowtail or Tuna Carpaccio, Sushi Roku is there for me.
good for rolls and that sort of thing. this is a good spot for a nicer work lunch. they do good sushi rolls but i wouldn't go there for the fish itself. service was always ok. your basic drink list. nice decor. convenient valet. cooked stuff is ok too. basically, it's reliable if you're in the area, but not destination dining.
Loves it!. It's a great fancy place to have a dinner party before hittin the Hollywood scene. I'd def go back if there was an occasion goin on.
Hum, really within special on the food side. Was expecting more from omakase, sushi was very mediocre. Atmosphere is nice.
Best food in town.
Food is amazing. Every time I come here, I feel like I never want to leave. Very chic atmosphere with a relaxing mood.
The service is great and the staff really does a terrific job at taking care of you.
The appetizers are delicious.
Theres plenty of places to park: theres a parking lot across the street and a parkin garage up the street within walking distance.
Most of the time I find myself looking at my watch waiting for the food to come, but here I was so entertained with the fun atmosphere that I was pleasantly surprised when my food arrived
Revamped and much improved.
I always thought Sushi Roku was a "see and be seen" kind of place, and never found the food very memorable.
My mind was changed when I recently used the Blackboard Eats special and had a 4 course prix fixe menu dinner here. It was amazing. Every bite was delectable. Tuna three ways appetizer, salmon carpaccio with shaved truffles, their Sushi Ume dinner, and the Molten chocolate cake for dessert, plus a bottle of sake. I don't know what that dinner would normally cost, but it was a brilliant move because I loved every morsel and would absolutely go back.
Classic LA experience. Always a good time and fantastic sushi for our girls night out!
Great food! Great people!.
Went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of the concierge at Sofitel hotel. We were so pleased! The food was excellent and the service was even better. The seaweed salad was a large portion, they were completely willing to make me a custom roll, and the sushi was extremely fresh and reasonably priced. The ambiance is nice and not stuffy. Very comfortable.
This is a great find.
headline. Me my firends and my girlfriend went to this place a couple months back. heard some good things heard some bad things thought we'd try it out. this guy was sittin across from me givin me this disturbing look all night. freaked us out. me especially though. so we got the bill and the guy was like o no ill pay for it i laughed and was like sure. so we got crappy food and terible service for free.
Way Overpriced. A tiny tofu miso soup costs $4. The quality of foods does not worth its price. Enough said.
Love this place. Enjoy coming here with friends and just having a good time
