horrible food, horrible service

This place has gone way down hill! I went to Pastis with a friend and we both agreed the waitstaff are more into themselves and seem ruder than the average Parisian waiter when being served in France. How bout some American waiters, heh? Our waiter smelled like he himself had drank a bottle of JD for the past hour! What a waste of money and experience. There were a total of 5 customers eating when we were there which is to say the restaurant was empty for a Friday and we can understand why. How does this restaurant manage to stay open when it's just plain awful in about everyway?

Would Never return

& in fact have not since the last visit that was at least 6 months ago & was a second try. The food is fine but the service is terrible, really terrible.

Worst restaurant with pretentious staff

uh! this is one restaurant I won't be going back to. The service was horrible and the food mediocre. If I'm not mistaken, i could swear the waiter brushed his hands through his hair everytime I looked over. Pretentious actor wannabes. We had to flag down the waiter so many times for mistakes made to our order. The waitors seemed snotty, into themselves, and paid little attention to their customers. I complained to the manager or owner (not sure which one he was) and he seemed to not care. This is a place that thinks it's better than what it actually is.

• Cons: fake self centered waiters, poor food
