Disgusting

Let me start by saying that I'm an easy person to please food-wise and I NEVER send anything back to the kitchen. Now let me tell you about my brunch at Alfredo's. (By the way, there is no Alfredo -- the name implies Italian ownership and, thus, a discipline in the ways of Italian cuisine; ignore the name because it's not an Italian restaurant, nor are the owners Italian). First of all, the service was as slow as could be. I was sitting with a friend outside when it began to rain. Although there were plenty of empty -- but dirty -- tables available, no one would clean one off so we could get out of the rain. When I politely asked a waiter if he could help me (we were sitting, at this point, in the pouring rain), he basically told me to go to hell. When we were finally moved (and wet) to our new table our food arrived. It smelled spoiled to me, but I gave it all the chance I could, as did my friend. The food was clearly bad, and I actually got sick from eating it later that day. I told the waitress about it, so she took the plates away and asked if there was anything else she could get me. When I said I couldn't eat anything because I wasn't feeling well, she brought the bill, which charged me in full for both my and my friend's virtually untouched and spoiled meal. I had to salvage lunch by stopping by Joan's, which is on the same block, to taste normal food. I cringe every time I think of my experience at Alfredo's.

Rude and obnoxious

I am not a very demanding person, however, i have never been so insulted talking to a waiter or a manager before in my life. Granted the place was busy for brunch on a sunday morning. But Michael, the manager or whatever actually called me an idiot for asking what sides they offered, and when he shoved the menu in my face was embarrassed to note that it didn't even list the sides! But he did not relent and continued to ruin my meal with his nasty attitude. The food is ok, but I'll never go back there or order from them again.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: The staff
Fantastic brunch, lunch, dinner. Great service and artsy yet comfortable atmosphere

This is LA gem is a rare find on the trendy third street in Los Angeles. Their brunch is delicious and they are now open for all three meals. Their brunch is significantly better and priced more reasonably than the overcrowded trendy restaurant across the street. The restaurant offers variety but does not compromise the quality. They are now open for dinner. Try the chicken parmigiana- it's fantastic. The fish is fresh and flavorful and I haven't had a side there that has not been delicious. An added plus, for both brunch and dinner is the warm baguette served with delectable home made preserves. This is a must try!
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service, Price
- Cons: None that I can think of--it's never overly crowded which is a con for the owner, I would imagine
