Editorial Review for Berri's Pizza Cafe – by Randi Schmelzer

In Short
The neon-blue sign emits a cool glow over sidewalk seating, while a techno beat pounds through the artsy, tulip-trimmed interior. Though calzones, salads, pastas and sandwiches are served, most diners come to this Mediterranean-influenced cafe for the pizza--thin, crunchy crust bubbling with melted mozzarella and garlic-seasoned sauce. Topping choices include pink prosciutto, tangy scampi-style shrimp, barbecue chicken and grilled vegetables. The only way to eat this pie is folded end-to-end and shoveled in sideways.

Something about the unmentioned $12.00 delivery charge to bring a cold pizza 1.12 miles rubbed me the wrong way...it was a downhill ride from there. Let it suffice to say that I gave them a second chance, and went hungry on that attempt. Why order from Berri's when you have Damiano's or Enzo's on weekends, or any of a number of other late night delivery options?

Best (maybe only??) lobster pizza in town. My husband and I have become regulars in just a few short weeks. They keep getting and then losing their liquor license so bring a bottle of wine from home and have your waiter open it for you. Just don't go too late at night. Although they are open late night, the scene becomes a little rambunctious after 1 am.
