If the Mondrian Hotel had a younger sister that did hair, Lauren's Salon Spa is probably what it would look like. Aside from the blonde hardwood floors and oversized mirrors, just about everything in this sunny space is washed in white, from the front desk and sheer curtains to the walls, chairs and shelves. Owned by its namesake--a native New Yorker and former Elizabeth Arden stylist--the salon has several stylists that focus on different specialties including highlighting, coloring, hair extensions and conditioning treatments.

Michelle make me feel like a million bucks!

I simply have to RAVE about Michelle at Lauren's Salon Spa! Every time I leave the salon I feel like a million bucks! When trying to find a hair salon -- you want someone who will listen to what you want and give you honest advice about whether it works for your type of hair or not. Michelle is simply amazing in both color and cut. She truly listens to what you want and her suggestions just make my hair look even better! I love that her schedule is flexible (I've had appointments at 9 am on Saturday or 7 pm on a weeknight -- and she even works at least one Sunday a month). Michelle loves what she does and it truly shows!

I moved to LA from Washington, DC/NYC area and am extremely finicky about who does my hair. I have very long blonde hair and needed someone I could trust. I simply love my color (and of course I go even lighter in the summer), at the same time my hair feels amazing -- thanks to some of the organic products/color used.

I highly recommend Michelle at Laurens. I see her every 8 weeks and wouldn't know what to do without her!!

Mari is the go to girl for color!

Mari is fantastic!!! This Cameron Diaz lookalike LISTENED to exactly what I wanted and didn't want and made my hair look even better than I imagined it could.

Every time she does my hair, she did a perfect job. My highlights look beautiful and natural, and I got a lot of compliments on my hair.

Mari is sweet, uber-talented, and the only person I trust to color my hair! Go see her!

Michelle is a rock star

I love Michelle. Not only is she the perfect blend of Midwesternly friendly and unpretentious while supremely professional and commandingly competent, she has worked absolute magic on my previously thin, flat, dry hair. Before I found her, I had been sporting a shade of bright red (a la Marcia Cross). While I loved how sassy it made me feel, it was simply not the right shade for me. She found a richer, deeper shade of auburn that compliments my skin tone, and added bangs which keeps me feeling like a badass red-head. Before I left, I overheard some of the other stylists referring to her as "The Hair Whisperer"; I couldn't agree more.

She is one hell of a talented mamacita! First of all, she always looks fabulous, which off the bat builds the first block of trust between a stylist and her client.

If you're picky about your hair, rest assured that Mari will listen to you. Im seriously anal about the length of my hair, and Mari recognizes that concern; as she's trimming away, she always asks me if this length is okay, if i want to add more layers, if my bangs are just right... she makes sure that her work reflects my needs and that is why the outcome is always FABULOUS!

Mari is one of the BEST hairstylists I know. Through her work, one can tell that she really loves what she does. Every time I have gone to Mari for styling my hair, I have recieved many complements from people telling me how natural my hair looks. Mari does not make you feel like you have tons of hairspray on your hair. Most importantly, Mari is a great listener. She will listen to what her customers ask for and do as they please. If you want a natural hairstyle that lasts all night from a cute little hairstylist, I recommend you give Mari a try :)
