My home away from home :-). I have taken a ton of dance lessons in the past, from various instructors (Salsa/Tango) in this lovely studio.

It inspired me to become a dance instructor myself, and after many years of assisting and learning I have made it, at last! One of many places I have the honor to share my passion for Argentine Tango is 3rd Street Dance, where I have an opportunity to pay back for all the great times I've had there myself as a student.

Thank you Peri Rogovin (the owner) for all your knowledge and inspiration!

You will LOVE our instructors and you will love the space, no matter what dance you chose to explore.

Hope to see you all on the dance floor!

Tangoliciousely yours,

Ilona G

great place to learn to social dance. I love this place. They have great Salsa, Swing and Tango classes. My husband and I did learned our "First Dance" there. And we have been taking classes ever since. Also their workout program has dance in it so you don't feel like you are just exercising. They have 5 studios in the building and there is always a lot of things going on to enjoy watching. There is something for everyone from the novice to the pro. I've been dancing for years in Los Angeles and there is not another program that compares. They won Best Ballroom Studio in 2009 from the L.A. Weekly's Best in L.A. magazine.

Great place to learn to dance for your wedding. My fiance and I needed a few lessons within the month before our wedding just so we wouldn't have to do the usual boring shuffle for the first dance. My friend recommended this place after taking a set of ballroom dancing classes and said the instructors were great (she liked Cathy). I thought the prices were competitive, parking turned out to be really easy at the Beverly Center, I had no problem with the staff, and you can bring your music on cd or ipod. I also liked the private air-conditioned rooms (really helps you focus). We took just 2 private lessons with Danny, who I think really gave us our money's worth by teaching us several simple, but elegant, steps and turns and a dip for the end. I also think Danny did a great job teaching my fiance, who really had to do all the learning and just about all the work since he's the guy. With all the craziness of planning a wedding, my fiance and I found ourselves happy and smiling each time we left the studio and so, I highly recommend this place as well as Danny for an instructor.

Extremely Unprofessional, Unfriendly. I don't recommend this place at all. The staff is extremely rude and the service is unprofessional. I was taking dance lessons for my wedding. On the last day after I leave work early to drive all the way out there late in the evening with my fiance, they then tell me that my instructor had changed without the courtesy of letting me know in advance. I didn't want to waste my time and money teaching the new instructor what I had learned so far but they refused to give me my money back for that session. The staff is very rude and yells at their customers. To top it all off, the dance lessons were a waste of time. Sure I learned very basic steps but the instructor spent 1/2 of the lessons just chatting away. And, you're stuck. So, I wouldn't get the prepaid sessions at all.

tango anyone?. I've taken all kinds of dance over the years and the fabulous thing about Third Street is that they always find good instructors that are adept at teaching the basics to the two-left footed, yet still make it fun and challenging for everyone. Argentine Tango, Salsa, Ballroom...specialty dances, all are equally great. What's even better is that a partner is not required, you just find a class that meets your schedule, and then just go. Once your hooked after going to one or two classes, it's easy to convince others to go with you. They finally have parking at a lot nearby, so you don't have to fight for a spot in their lot or on the street.

Cut a Rug!. My wife and I went to 3rd Street Dance to learn a first dance for out wedding. Not only did Angelia choreograph an original dance tailored to our requests using music we provided, but she patiently and painstakingly helped us nail it down. All this in only four sessions one week before our wedding! The dance turned out great and was a big hit at the wedding. Definitely one of the highlights.
