Forget Noah's. Those aren't bagels! Brooklyn Bagel Bakery is a spartan spot where you can get real, authentic, boiled bagels. Soft, chewy, delicious. Try the poppy onion!

I love Brooklyn Bagel. I don't understand the negative comments on this bakery.

I worked in retail foods for 40 year off and on. Brooklyn Bagel is the finest bagel I've ever tasted both here and in

Europe. The bagels have a richness I've not found in other well known bagels. Whenever I go I like to buy fresh to eat right away and some frozen for the freezer later.

Brooklyn Bagels - Tiny Tasteless Overrated and Expensive. What a bunch of hype over nothing. These are tiny little flat tasting bagels. The bialys were the worst I have ever had. Maybe I could see spending 4.50 or so for a dozen of the poppy or plain but 8.00 for a dozen of these tasteless bagels is a rip-off. The bagels at Trader Joe's are larger better and much cheaper, however not as fresh. I'm Still looking for the perfect bagel in Los Angeles!

I don't know why people love thes bagels so much. Frankly I don't know why this place keeps winning awards. I think they're okay. Passable. Not the best. Definitely had better bagels in my life. Goldsteins is great though a bit of a drive. Too bad there's not a brugger's in the area.

Killer bagels - on the eastside!. We used to live at Pico Robertson and were in bagel heaven. Then two things happened - we moved across town and, I & Joy bagels were bought out by manhattan bagels. Suddenly the closest bagels were 20 minutes - each way - and they weren't very good.

These bagels are the real deal. Chewy, substantial but not heavy, with a crisp crust, it was a joy to walk in and finally have a REAL bagel. So, don't be worried by the non-glossy exterior. Go in, by a few to have fresh that day, and buy a dozen frozen for your freezer. The poppy, everything bagels are good and the rye - lovely!

These bagels were a hit at the office. This morning, I visited Brooklyn Bagel Bakery for the first time and picked up two Bakers' dozens (2 or 3 of each type) for the office today. I arrived at store opening, so the bagels were still soft and warm when I brought them to work. The jalapeno, everything, onion, blueberry, and cinnamon raisin varieties were the first to go.

In addition, the store offers a good selection of cream cheeses to make the bagels taste even better. The store employees were very friendly and helpful to me and the other customers as well.

Ups from a bagel lover. The bagels from this place were wonderful. I've been an consumer of

Noah's for a long time, and this is a definite improvement.

I rated the ambience, service, and value 5's because I've never been there. I just eat the bagels someone else purchases.

Tasty Bagels - Big Variety. These bagels taste home made. There's something different about them than you find at the big chains.

These bagels have just the right consistency. They're not chew toys. They're soft with a nice finish on the outside. We had a choice of at least a dozen varieties and they all looked good. I took a plain bagel to start with and followed with a blueberry bagel later on.

Yumm!

East Coast Transplant says it's good.... I had a bagel from here this morning and I have to admit, it was a pretty good. The everything bagel was generously topped with plenty of onions, seeds and garlic. Plus, I didn't feel like I was trying to choke down a chunk of bread deceivingly calling its self a bagel.
