In Short – At the same location since 1947, this stalwart Jewish deli is now the anchor tenant in a neighborhood that's more shabby, less chic. Open only till 4pm daily, the clientele is usually a mix of power-lunching downtown execs and old-timers revisiting the neighborhood for a nostalgic infusion of cholesterol. Langer's pastrami sandwiches have achieved almost mythic proportions. Swaddled between two slices of seeded rye bread, the thickly sliced, hand-cut pastrami is spicy and smoky. Oh yes, it's real good!

This is a true New York Style deli minutes from downtown LA and just off of Wilshire. I had the Pastrami on Rye and some Matzah Ball Soup. Everything was excellent, including the service. The Pastrami was melt in your mouth tender and had great flavor. The atmosphere is just what you would expect at this type of place, casual and not pretentious. I highly recommend Langer's and will be back soon!
- Pros: Validated parking, great food, nostalgic
- Cons: Lock your rims!

Hands down best pastrami!

Man...everytime I come here, I overdo it. I once almost ate two orders of their pastramis in a sitting. Really it's that good! I just wished they'd open later because the only time I get to go here is on weekends.

The #19 is the best sandwich I've EVER eaten

Langers is amazing. I've only been there once a week ago, but I've been thinking about it every day. The #19 is the best sandwich anywhere period. I'm not even a huge pastrami fan, but this sandwich got me hooked.
The service was great, got lots of refills, the crowd was great (mostly business people and old people talking about politics), and there is a parking lot!
Next time I'm in LA, Langers will be the first stop on my list.
