For more than 60 years, this all-American institution has been serving its signature chicken and home-style sides..
In Short
Established in 1939, this fast-food restaurant still makes its legendary fried chicken with the closely guarded blend of 11 herbs and spices originally created by founder Colonel Sanders. Modern additions to the menu include oven-roasted renditions of its chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken, potato wedges and wraps. Classic sides include flaky, oversized biscuits, steaming-hot mashed potatoes and gravy, smoky-sweet baked beans and crisp, generously dressed coleslaw. Kids and adults love the "little bucket" parfaits of pudding desserts.
1/2 the menu of other KFC's. I work close to this KFC and decided I'd try out one of the salads that KFC has been advertising. To my disapointment this particular KFC does not carry ANY salads! The menu is 1/2 the menu of what is advertised on KFC's website and I was extremely disapointed. I then settled for a grilled twister hold the sauce and it cost me just under $6, which was pricier than the $3.99 advertised price because I asked for it grilled and not fried. In this day and age to have such limited healthy choices even at a fast food chain is not acceptable. Paying extra for grilled over crispy is also ridiculous. Jack in the box gives you the option in all their salads and there is no extra cost.
