not heavy frozen yogurt, smooth flavors, nice counter, not recommend place, enjoy wait, awesome creamy testure, awful parking
BEST YOGURT.
This is the BEST place to eat yogurt! ~
There is always a line but the guys behind
the counter are fast, nice and very effecient!!!!
The line goes fast!
We have yogurt here almost every single day!
The flavors are soooo delish!
Carbo lite is soooooooo delish too, etc!
IT'S THE BEST!!!
There's a reason why their line is OUT THE DOOR and Penguin's next door is EMPTY. Heck, the line is aound the corner sometimes. But it moves FAST. Being a big Diddy Riese fan, I have a hard time with the "healthy" stuff. Well, not here. It's the closest thing to D-Lites Low Fat Softserve that I've found on the West Coast. Except the carbolite, awesome creamy testure - just like Dairy Queen. And it does not taste low cal! They have some "rotating" flavors and some constants. Low fat, non-fat, dairy free, and carbolite/low sugar/no sugar added. My wife has diabetes and this stuff is fine for glucose levels in moderation. Refreezes well - just let it thaw for 20 min. Parking is awful - lots of restrictions on Olympic and the lot is tight and packed. Send a passenger in and let the driver park (or sit in the tow-away zone). Or streetpark on westwood or the far side of Olympic. Eat it there (cool neon/retro decor) or take it home. The Peanut Butter is freakin' awesome. I'm also hooked on the Pumpkin. Some of the Chocolates are also excellent. This place will get you hooked. The Fro-Yo place in Malibu and Brentwood are marginal at best. Same with the new ones in Westwood. Penguins is nothing special. Don't get me started on pink berry - gag. This place rocks. The lines are long for a reason. It moves fast. Get a stamp card for buy 10 get 1 free; grab the Onion Newspaper at the door, and enjoy the wait as you contemplate your order. Bring a date (healthy choice) or the kids. If you want full fat, go to Diddy Riese in Westwood Village. If you want healthy but tasty, the Bigg Chill is your place!
Times Up Chill. I have been going to Chill for awhile for their dairy free ice cream. It's a treat since I can't have dairy and this was one of the few outlets that served decent dairy free. The only problem is that they always seem to have boring chocolate options...The sad thing is that it never tastes like anything they say it is. After numerous requests to use vanilla based dairy free mixtures, they still have the same pathetic chocolate. I believe that the people who run the place don't really care what their customers want and that is sad. But thankfully I found a new place for dairy free so my girlfriend and I never have to go to Chill again. Penguins has a far superior dairy free selection and when they have chocolate, it REALLY tastes like chocolate. Sorry Chill. Times up. You lose. Penguins wins my business now....And Penguins is cheaper. $4.50 for two cones, no toppings. Chill-$7.00.
HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! AND low calorie!. I am OBSESSED with Bigg Chill. They have the greatest selection of nonfat and carbo-lite frozen yogurt that actually tastes rich and creamy, not chemically - and for barely any calories! They switch up their flavors every day - to things like Lemon Custard and Chocolate Cookie Dough) - and when you go, they will mix up to four flavors in your cup AND you can mix-and-match toppings! I order my toppings on a side, and usually do half-Snickers, half-Reeses, but there are tons of options, including healthier fruit, trail mix, gummi bears, and lowfat brownies. You can check online for the daily flavors on their website. Bigg Chill also sends tons of other low-calorie foods, like nonfat cookies and chips, and calorie-free salad dressing. I go here as often as I can. The only downside is: they only accept cash, and the small parking lot only holds about 10 cars - if you're going during the day you might have trouble parking
Great-tasting frozen yogurt. If you want good frozen yogurt, this is the place to go; but you must remember to BRING CASH because it is "cash only". Parking is also an issue because the lot is very small and it is shared by other businesses. What I usually do is park at the Westside Pavilion and then I walk (hey, great way to work off those calories!) The best part of it all is the FRESH FRUIT -- my friends love Golden Spoon but I was disappointed when I went there and wanted fresh fruit and there was only the syrupy fruits. Service is so-so, but I go here for the fro-yo, not the people.
Lives up to the name: Chilly on customer service.... You have got to be kidding me! Like the soup episode on Seinfeld.... I was greeted with a glazed over look as the woman looked at me and said "NEXT". My mid-day frozen yogurt is meant to be a treat and instead it was the most horrible experience of the week. When she didn't understand my order and gave me something else - I told her what I originally ordered. Rather than offer to correct it, she attempted to scoop out half of the cup to fix it. No thank you. This place is so low on the scale of customer service its not even worth it to go back. I went out of my way to drive across town for a cup of carbo-lite yogurt to find difficult parking and rude customer service. On top of all that, you better go with an empty bladder and a full wallet! There are no restrooms and its cash only. So, sorry - no thanks I'll get my frozen yogurt somewhere else. This place is not worth the effort.
Simply sweet.
I like going here bc they're always changing their flavors. They also sell other local bakery goods as well as natural/healthy bakery treats. The frozen yogurt is very flavorful and not heavy like ice-cream. I always like to stop by before heading off on the freeway. And yes, you can sample!
Don't forget--cash only.
Note: If you have to calorie-count toppings, then you aren't really living.
abrupt service but food treat. The service can be a bit rushed here but they do let you sample the flavors. FYI- if you are on a diet, the nutrition informmation on their regular yogurt is not accurate as they do mix-ins and some have fat and they do not list that. some are mixed with candy and cookies and this is not listed either. Flavors are good and smooth
