In Short
Walk past the vintage (translation: faded) turquoise-colored signage of this brick-and-mortar mainstay, peer through the windows and it becomes clear: You're about to walk back in time. Frozen somewhere between the '50s and '60s, this is the kind of place where folks too old to care about the Internet have been coming since the era of five-and-dimes. Brown vinyl booths, an open kitchen with counter and a fake sky on the ceiling set the scene, while a swift but friendly waitstaff (many of whom have been here for more than 20 years) bring a variety of milk shakes, salads and sandwiches to the hungry masses. Started in 1959 by Marvin Saul--the unofficial Mayor of Westwood Boulevard--the deli is now run by his sons David and Jon who carry on the family tradition. Dad surely must be proud.

Been going to Junior's for over 30 years. It does not have any competitors in the Westwood area. You won't be disappointed.

Homemade soups, chopped liver, sandwiches that are meal , entrees and wonderful baked in the restaurant deserts. Take out and catering. What else could you ask for? The cabbage soup is one of my favorites. Creamed herring, eastern lox, and tuna salad are outstanding. Just can't go wrong. Valet parking on the lot right next to the deli.

I had a turkey sandwich that would make you do a backflip. I get it every time I come. I should probably try something else on the menu but I just can't get over their turkey sandwich. Junior's is that good!
