The service is stone faced and if you're accustomed to eating at a gas station then cool. But the food is awesome. I wanted to be "safe" this time and try just chicken tacos and beans. But they had all sorts of seafood, shrimp, fish tacos, even freakin oysters on the half shell. Yeah, too scarey for that, but ultimately it was delish and I feel like I got a good greasy mexican meal for only $4.00. Can't be that.
Pros: Cheap! , Authentic, Sabrosa (Tasty!)
Cons: Cold Service, Don't eat in

Tacos La Fonda has some of the best undiscovered seafood and mexican breakfasts in town. Their beans are perfect, creamy and authentic. All of their food is fantastic. But their prices seem to miraculously double and sometimes triple depending on whether you speak Spanish or not and depending on whether you are a regular or a "gringo". The service is mostly terrible - bordering on hostile. But still, recommended for those who like to sip beer, listen to funny Mexican music or Shakira from the jukebox and soak up the colorful atmosphere. The food, once again, is some of the tastiest Mexican food ever but unfortunately, a few workers there have really spoiled the experience for me.*reasonable prices when you point out they are overcharging you based on what their own menu says.
Pros: exceptional food, reasonable prices*, lively atmosphere
Cons: rude workers, gas station mini mall, unruly drunks (hee)
