The Quintessential LA Taco. King Taco is like the In N Out for Tacos in LA. A place that ex-Angeleno taco fans go to right after landing at LAX when coming back to visit. The smells and tastes of their authentic and delicous Mexican items are the kind that will stay in your memory forever, no matter where you might venture in life. The Cypress Avenue location is the original first location after TK grew out of a taco truck in it's early days and is the best location. TK's carne asada tacos are the most popular but for my money, their lengua tacos can't be beat. Tender, thickly cut fresh strips of beef tongue in wrapped in their baseball sized double corn tortillas. All meat fillings are cooked fresh throughout the day and never frozen. Fresh, authentic and great value will ensure TK spot on top of the great La taco race.

Editorial Review. This Los Angeles County fast food chain has been serving tacos, sopes, burritos and other traditional Mexican fare since 1974.

Really good food.. What a hoot! I asked the girl at the counter for food that was not spicy. She assured me that none of their food was spicy. My mistake for asking a Mexican about cosas piquantes. The food is great, but you might want skip the hot sauce. The costillas de puerco en salsa roja are fantastic (pork ribs in red sauce). There was too much sauce and veggies on the chiles rellenos. Next time I will ask for sauce on the side. The burritos are good, and the sopes are great. I am going to try the chichrones con nopales next time.
