Cheaper than Hamburger Hamlet, tastier than McDonald's--Fatburger might just be the superhero of fast food.. The Scene
This is a fast-food joint all the way: Order at the counter and employees, sans headphones, bark the order to the fry cooks. Retro jukeboxes usually hold court in the middle of the restaurants, but are rarely used, since jazz and R&B are always piped in through speakers.

The Food
Sure, there's the grilled chicken sandwich and the chili dog, but other than that, it's all burgers. Wrapped in paper, served on plastic trays and dripping with toppings--mustard, mayo, relish, tomatoes, lettuce and onion--these burgers are definitely fat. Add cheese, bacon and a fried egg and you've got a hefty, cholesterol-laden treat. Or go the healthy route and order the turkey burger with everything; it's almost as good as the red-meat variety, and just as messy. Skip the ordinary fries and order a side of the fresh onion rings--the grease factor is low, and the crispy, golden batter is delicious.

Good late-night food. I used to live up the street from here and came down for their chicken wings often. Their chocolate shakes are awesome! The clientele (read: hooligans) make the place interesting if not a touch dangerous. I'm not so sure I'd want to eat here alone really late, but with a group it's fine. There's a parking lot right out front.

Doesnt need cheese. My husband and I will eat fatburger over any other burger joint. Last night we went and I noticed that you pay extra for cheese, egg, chili and bacon. I ordered cheese on my fatburger this time and it tastes best without it. My husband got egg and boy was it great. Tuesdays and THursdays evenings are buy one get one free, thats what got us hooked. The service is always friendly and fast. We order the thick chili fries and like them so much we havent gotten the onion rings or curly fries YET!

hamburger + fried egg = yum!. This is the most homestyle-like burger I have ever had at a restaurant. It was nice that they offered several different condiments for the burgers.

I also liked that they serve old-fashioned onion rings.

A little pricey, but delicious!

FATBURGER RULES!. When you want to go off the diet in a BIG way, go to Fatburger. The spicy, curly fries are the best! If you feel quilty for ingesting so much bad stuff, get a turkey burger instead of beef. My favorite fast-food!
