very fresh fruit, great prices, very fresh vegetables, great place, expensive hmm, best dry goods, best pasta sauce bases
Citysearch Editorial Review. Produce lovers will be in heaven in this farmers' market-inspired store filled with dozens of varieties of in-season fruit and vegetables. Huge bins of quality produce welcome customers outside the store, while inside the bounty continues with everything from baskets of berries to assorted tomatoes to loose mixed greens and bags of assorted herbs. Not everything is organic, but it's all fresh and most is locally grown, not to mention super-affordable. At the back of the store are refrigerator cases filled with dairy and soy products, as well as tall wire racks of dry goods like pasta, rice, beans, nuts and candy, as well as a selection of ethnic products like Indian sauces, Thai noodle packets and a large range of spices; while a few of these items are a little pricier than you'd find elsewhere, most are a good deal.
Outstanding!. This store is a revelation! I used to shop at whole foods, and I ran into this place a whiile back, and I am now a convert. They have a great variety of very fresh fruits and vegetables, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. The prices are also very affordable, which is a lot of help especially in this economy.
Thumbs up!. Cool fruit stand with great prices, but hours are not convenient. Opens too late and closes too early. Overall, definitely worth checking out.
great place, that i always forget about.
i love this place. i used to shop there quite often...then for some strange reason i got caught up in shopping at whole foods because of the health and beauty section and forgot about Marina Farms.
i am a vegan, but i dont care for fake meats and the like. so, my pantry always has to be stocked with the best dry goods, best pasta sauce bases, and my fridge always needs good quality fruits and veggies...
i find that there prices are good. i always go in there and buy a lot and i am surprised that sometimes my total has not even exceeded 20 bucks.
i love the fruit and veggies and the gourmet section is great. my only qualm...hmm the soy milk is SOOO EXPENSIVE! but, oh well.
