Delish.
The food was good, we went back the next day for more... The service was excellent the first night, just OK the second day. The one thing I found annoying was the overhead music playing local Spanish radio, complete with the commercials, blaring out of the PA. It was way too loud.

Great food.
There's enough Mexican restaurants in L.A. that you don't have to settle for a mediocre one. Don Chuy's is one of the best places I've been to on the westside. They do carnitas right (many don't); their burritos are large and worth what they cost; they have a nice mix of authentic and typical dishes; the staff are attentive and helpful. My only complaint would be the lighting. I don't mind a dark restaurant, but they ought to put some small lamps on the table for atmosphere and to make it easier to read the menus. But all in all one of the better Mexican places, especially for the Culver City area.

El Don!.
Don Chuys is one of my favorite spots. Many nights after work I have gone there to chill with a beer and some bomb Mexican food. The food is authentic and really good, service is friendly, atmosphere is very comfortable. Try the El Don burrito, it's tasty and absurdly gigantic. Also be on the lookout for Don Chuys himself and say hello. You can recognize him from the picture on the back of all the employees' shirts.
