Herb's dead!!. There is a new owner and a new feel to this shop. It is the DYI kind of stamp shop now with a very friendly owner who does not sell or buy postage stamps. She told me Herb and Chet had died 5 and 6 years ago.

Great selection. Every time I come into the store, there is a lot of new material to see too.
Prices are directly based on catalog, which means higher than you would pay on eBay, though this is to be expected of a retail store. The stamps are priced at the time he places them in the stock book. Since his turnover rate is high, this usually means you pay current prices, but occasionally you find stuff that his been sitting for a while and you can find a real deal.
Most importantly, Herb is very friendly and offers great service.
